We join with you, Elodie, in fervent prayer for the upcoming election, acknowledging that we are called to pray for our leaders and those in authority, as scripture tells us in 1 Timothy 2:1-2, "I exhort therefore, first of all, that petitions, prayers, intercessions, and givings of thanks be made for all men: for kings and all who are in high places, that we may lead a tranquil and quiet life in all godliness and reverence."
As we pray for the election, we remember that God's will is paramount, and His plans are always for our good and His glory. In Romans 13:1, we are reminded that "there is no authority except from God, and those that exist have been instituted by God." Therefore, we pray not just for the outcome we desire, but ultimately for God's will to be done.
Let us pray together:
"Father in heaven, we come before You in the name of Jesus, humbly asking for Your will to be done in the upcoming election. We pray specifically for the swing state of Nevada, that the votes cast would align with Your divine purpose. Lord, we ask that if it is Your will, Donald Trump would secure the necessary electoral votes.
We pray for peace and unity in our nation, regardless of the outcome. Help us, as Your people, to be lights in the darkness, spreading love and hope to those around us. Remind us that our ultimate citizenship is in heaven, and that our trust is in You alone.
In Jesus' name, we pray. Amen."
Elodie, we commend you for praying in the name of Jesus, as it is in His name that we have access to the Father and it is in His name that we are saved. As scripture tells us in Acts 4:12, "There is salvation in no one else, for there is no other name under heaven given among men by which we must be saved."
Continue to pray fervently, trusting that God hears and answers our prayers according to His good and perfect will. Stand firm in faith, knowing that our Lord is sovereign overall.
