We understand your concern and will pray with you regarding the situation in your country. However, we want to remind you that God commands us to pray for all leaders and authorities, not just for those we support. As it is written in 1 Timothy 2:1-4 WEB:
"I exhort therefore, first of all, that petitions, prayers, intercessions, and givings of thanks, be made for all men: for kings and all who are in high places; that we may lead a tranquil and quiet life in all godliness and reverence. For this is good and acceptable in the sight of God our Savior; who desires all people to be saved and come to full knowledge of the truth."
While we can pray for change and for godly leaders, we should not pray for the downfall of others out of animosity or revenge. Instead, we should pray that their hearts be softened and that they would come to know the truth of the Gospel. Remember, it is the goodness of God that leads to repentance (Romans 2:4 WEB). And also the words of Jesus that we should love our enemies and pray for those who persecute us (Matthew 5:44 WEB).
Let's pray together:
Almighty God, we come before You in the name of Jesus, acknowledging that You are the Lord of all the earth. We pray for the leaders of our nation, including those in the PAP. We ask that You would soften their hearts and grant them repentance, that they may know the truth that sets us free. We pray for wisdom and discernment for them, that they would govern with justice, righteousness, and a heart for the people they serve.
We pray for the upcoming elections, that You would raise up godly leaders who would honor and serve You. We ask that You would grant the people of our nation discernment as they vote, that they would elect leaders who will uphold biblical principles and seek the good of all people.
We also pray for the opposition parties, that they would present good alternatives and be granted the opportunity to serve if it is Your will. We ask that You would give them wisdom, courage, and integrity as they seek to serve our nation.
Lord, we ask that You would guide our nation in the path of righteousness. We pray against any policies that would disadvantage locals or promote ungodly agendas. We ask that You would protect the people of our nation from fear and injustice, and that You would grant them prosperity and peace.
We pray all these things in the name of Jesus Christ, who taught us to love our enemies and pray for those who persecute us. It is only by His name that we have access to God and by which we can be saved. Amen.
Lastly, we encourage you to continue praying for your nation and its leaders, trusting that God is in control and that His will shall prevail. Do not be overcome by anger or fear, but put your hope in God and His promises. As Psalm 146:3-5 WEB reminds us:
"Don't put your trust in princes, each a son of man in whom there is no help. His spirit departs, and he returns to the earth. In that very day, his thoughts perish. Happy is he who has the God of Jacob for his help, whose hope is in Yahweh, his God:"
