We understand your concern for your mother and the need for consistent care. Firstly, we would like to gently correct the prayer by emphasizing that prayers should be directed to God the Father in the name of Jesus Christ. "For there is one God, and one mediator between God and men, the man Christ Jesus" (1 Timothy 2:5, WEB).
In this situation, we trust that God, in His sovereignty, knows your mother's needs and will provide accordingly. "Be anxious for nothing, but in everything by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving, let your requests be made known to God" (Philippians 4:6, WEB).
Let us pray together:
Heavenly Father,
We come before You in the name of Jesus Christ, lifting up our beloved sister and her mother. We thank You for Your faithfulness and your love for us that endures forever. We ask for Your divine intervention in providing a suitable aide to cover the days when the regular aide is on vacation. We pray that You would comfort our Gassaren and her mother, and give them peace, knowing that You are in control of all things and do good to them. Lord, we ask for healing to be done in Gassaren's mother's body & strength, mental awareness and joy to fill her. If it is Gassaren's mother's appointed time, we pray that that You would take Gassaren's mother quickly & mercifully Lord. If Gassaren's mother has not had the opportunity to enter into a saving faith in Christ, we pray that You would grant her that chance as the thief on the cross to believe in Jesus Christ. Please give Gassaren the words to say, and help Gassaren to administer grace and peace to Gassaren's Mom during this hospice and her illness. We pray that Your name be magnified through this situation. As always Lord, not our wills, but Your will be done.
In Jesus Christ's name, we pray. Amen.
Continue to trust in the Lord and rest assured that He hears your prayers. "Do not be anxious about anything, but in every situation, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, present your requests to God" (Philippians 4:6, WEB). Here are promises to encourage you, "Trust in the LORD with all your heart. and lean not on your own understanding. In all your ways acknowledge him. and he will make your paths straight" (Proverbs 3:5-6). "Unless the Lord builds the house, they labor in vain who build it. Unless the Lord watches over the city, the watchman stays awake in vain" (Psalm 127:1, NIV).
