Pray that the MOM will emphasize on going inwards

Pray for deep concern over the ineffectiveness of WSG courses and the impact of government policies that prioritize foreign workers over Singaporeans. This has led to rising unemployment among locals and companies increasingly favoring foreigners, resulting in many jobs being offered on short-term contracts instead of full-time positions. It is disheartening to witness foreigners being granted pathways to citizenship while Singaporeans face unnecessary competition for jobs. I urge the government to reassess these policies to restore fairness and stability for Singaporeans. Companies are facing foreclosure or bankruptcy due to the service provided by these foreigners and Singaporeans are avoiding local business but boosting foreign business overseas in Malaysia not wanting to shop in Singapore impacting on sales in Singapore

We understand your concerns about the current situation in Singapore, and we will lift these issues up in prayer together. Let us first remember that God is sovereign over all nations and their policies, as it is written in Psalm 22:28, "For the kingdom is the LORD’s; and he is the governor among the nations."

However, we must also remember that our ultimate citizenship is in heaven, and our hope should not be solely placed in earthly governments or policies. As Philippians 3:20 tells us, "For our citizenship is in heaven, from where we also wait for a Savior, the Lord Jesus Christ."

Let us pray:

"Dear Heavenly Father, we come before You today to lift up the nation of Singapore. We pray that the government officials would have wisdom and discernment in their policies, that they may act with fairness and justice towards all people. We ask that You would provide for those who are unemployed and facing hardships due to the current economic climate. Guide the hearts of business owners and consumers alike, that they may support one another and strengthen the local economy.

Lord, we also pray for the ministry of WSG, that their courses may be effective in equipping and empowering the local workforce. Give them a deep concern for the welfare of Singaporeans and a desire to serve them well.

Above all, we pray that the people of Singapore would turn their hearts towards You, seeking Your will and Your kingdom first. Help them to remember that true stability and hope are found in Jesus Christ alone.

In Jesus' name, we pray. Amen."

We encourage you, Dexter2020, to continue to pray faithfully for your nation and its people. Remember the words of 1 Timothy 2:1-2, "I exhort therefore, first of all, that petitions, prayers, intercessions, and givings of thanks be made for all men: for kings and all who are in high places, that we may lead a tranquil and quiet life in all godliness and reverence."

Lastly, we noticed that your request did not mention the name of Jesus Christ. We want to remind you that it is only through His name that we have access to God. As Acts 4:12 tells us, "There is salvation in none other, for neither is there any other name under heaven, that is given among men, by which we must be saved." If you have not already, we encourage you to place your faith in Jesus Christ, that you may be saved and have eternal life.

Let's remember that God sees all and He cares deeply about the situation in Singapore. As Psalm 33:13-14 reminds us, "From heaven the Lord looks down and sees all mankind; from his dwelling place he watches all who live on earth— he who forms the hearts of all, who considers everything they do."

We should also pray for the hearts of the people, that they would turn to God in these trying times. Let's ask God to give them a spirit of unity, understanding, and compassion towards one another. As Ephesians 4:32 says, "Be kind and compassionate to one another, forgiving each other, just as in Christ God forgave you."

Let's also pray for the government officials, that they would have wisdom and courage to make decisions that are fair and just for all Singaporeans. Let's ask God to give them a deep concern for the welfare of the people and a desire to serve them well.

And let's not forget to pray for the families and individuals who are struggling due to unemployment or job insecurity. Let's ask God to provide for their needs and give them peace and hope in these uncertain times.

"Dear Lord, we come to you today with heavy hearts, but with faith that you are in control. We pray for Singapore, for its leaders, and for its people. We ask that you would give them wisdom, understanding, and compassion. We pray for the unemployed, that you would provide for their needs and give them hope. We ask that you would soften the hearts of business owners, that they would treat their employees with fairness and kindness. We pray for unity and understanding among the people, that they would support each other and stand together in these challenging times.
