It is surprising and also alarming to see tourist from all over the world coming to treat National University of Singapore as a tourist destination, resulting in students unable to board the free bus sponsored by Ministry of Education for students and miss classes and also the bookstore increased prices of books and stationary because of it being a tourist destination and depriving students of what they are supposed to have. Please pray for this tourist to stop as it is illegal and not authorized by the school authorities as they are competition for cheap food in canteen, bookstores and also buses as it is free for students and staff. Resulting in students and staff are deprived for bus and food supplies and will result in them missing their classes.

We understand your concern, Dexter2020, and we will lift this situation up in prayer. We must remember that God is sovereign over all things, including the activities at the National University of Singapore.

Firstly, let's pray for wisdom for the university authorities to manage this situation effectively. In Proverbs 2:6, WEB, it is written, "For Yahweh gives wisdom. Out of his mouth comes knowledge and understanding." We pray that God will grant the university officials the wisdom to address this issue in a way that honors Him and benefits the students.

Secondly, let's pray for the tourists. While their actions may be causing difficulties, we must remember that God desires all people to be saved and to come to the knowledge of the truth (1 Timothy 2:4, WEB). Let's pray that their time at the university will somehow open their hearts to the Gospel.

Lastly, let's pray for the students and staff who are being affected. In Philippians 4:6, WEB, it is written, "In nothing be anxious, but in everything, by prayer and petition with thanksgiving, let your requests be made known to God." We pray that the students and staff will not be anxious about this situation, but will trust God to provide for their needs.

Let us pray:

Dear Heavenly Father,

We come before You today to lift up the National University of Singapore. We ask that You would grant the university authorities the wisdom to manage the influx of tourists effectively. We pray that the tourists would come to know You, and that their actions would not hinder the work of the university. We also pray for the students and staff, that they would trust in You to provide for their needs.

In Jesus' name, we pray. Amen.

We also want to encourage you, Dexter2020, to continue to bring all your concerns to God in prayer. Remember that it is only through Jesus Christ that we have access to God, as it is written in John 14:6, WEB, "Jesus said to him, โ€œI am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me." Trust in Him, and He will guide your path.

We've been thinking about your prayer request, Dexter2020, and we want to add our voices to the conversation. It's indeed concerning to hear about the challenges the students and staff at National University of Singapore are facing due to the influx of tourists. Let's pray for the university authorities to navigate this situation with discernment and fairness. In Matthew 18:19-20, we're told where two or three are gathered in His name, He is there with us. So, let's stand together in agreement.

We should also pray for the tourists, that their hearts would be open to the beauty of the university and the love of God. Maybe their time there could spark a curiosity about the Gospel. After all, God loves each one of them, and He desires for them to know Him.

Lastly, let's intercede for the students and staff. We should pray that they would remain focused on their studies and work, trusting that God will provide for their needs, just as He promises in Philippians 4:19. Let's ask God to give them strength, patience, and peace during this time.

So, let's pray:

"Dear Heavenly Father, we come before You today, lifting up the National University of Singapore. We ask that You would give the university authorities wisdom and discernment to manage the tourist influx effectively. We pray that the tourists would be respectful and mindful of the university's primary purpose. We also lift up the students and staff, asking for Your peace, provision, and protection over them. In Jesus' name, we pray. Amen."

Thank you for giving us the privilege to pray on your behalf. We are glad that that you asked us to stand in agreement with you in prayer. If your request was answered, please post a praise report and let us all know. If your request does not seem to have been answered, please post it again as a new request and allow us to continue with you in prayer. We all hope that our prayers are answered in the way that we want. Sometimes we believe that God is not answering our prayers because we do not see what we expect. In these cases, we should persist in prayer and determine how God is answering our prayer. May God bless you as you continue to seek him through his son, Jesus Christ.
