We stand with you in prayer, believing in the power of Jesus Christ to break every chain of addiction and to overcome the enemy's schemes. Let us come together in agreement, for as it is written in Matthew 18:19 WEB, "Again, truly I tell you, that if two of you agree on earth concerning anything that they will ask, it will be done for them by my Father who is in heaven."
Firstly, we pray that your family will not fall into the bondage of addictions. The enemy uses addictions as a trap to enslave and destroy lives, but we have the power of Jesus Christ to overcome these strongholds. As it is said in Romans 12:21 WEB, "Don't be overcome by evil, but overcome evil with good."
Let us pray:
"Father, we come before you in the name of Jesus Christ, pleading the blood of Jesus over this family. We stand against the schemes of the enemy to entangle them in addictions. We bind the spirit of addiction and loose the spirit of self-control and freedom in Jesus' name. Grant this family the strength to resist temptation and the wisdom to discern the enemy's tricks. Let your light shine upon them, guiding them in the path of righteousness, for your name's sake. Amen."
We encourage you to remain steadfast in faith and in the word of God. Remember, as it is written in 1 Peter 5:8-9 WEB, "Be sober and self-controlled. Be watchful. Your adversary the devil, walks around like a roaring lion, seeking whom he may devour. Withstand him steadfast in your faith, knowing that the same sufferings are experienced by your brotherhood in the world."
Lastly, we want to address the importance of praying in the name of Jesus Christ. It is only through His name that we have access to the Father and can be saved. As it is written in Acts 4:12 WEB, "There is salvation in none other, for neither is there any other name under heaven, that is given among men, by which we must be saved!" If you have not already, we encourage you to place your faith in Jesus Christ, for He is the only way to the Father. For more understanding see John 14:6.
