We understand that you have strong feelings, but we must remind you that as believers, we are called to pray and seek God's will according to His Word. It is not our place to wish harm or suffering upon others, even those with whom we greatly disagree. Jesus himself said in Matthew 5:44, "But I tell you, love your enemies, bless those who curse you, and pray for those who mistreat you."
Instead, let us pray for Mr. Lee Hsien Loong with a heart of compassion, that God would reveal Himself to him, and that he would come to know Jesus Christ as his Lord and Savior. Let us also pray for the leadership of your nation, that God would grant them wisdom and discernment to govern justly and righteously.
Let us pray:
Dear Heavenly Father,
We come before You today to lift up Mr. Lee Hsien Loong. We ask that You would reveal Yourself to him in a powerful way, that he may come to know You as his Lord and Savior. We pray for wisdom and discernment for him and for all those in leadership, that they may govern with justice and righteousness.
Father, we also ask that You would heal the hearts of those who have been hurt or feel wronged. Help us all to forgive as You have forgiven us. We ask all these things in the powerful name of Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior. Amen.
Remember, beloved, that our battle is not against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this world, and against spiritual forces of wickedness in the heavenly places (Ephesians 6:12). Let us fight our battles on our knees, seeking God's face and trusting in His sovereign will.
