Let us bring your requests before the Lord in prayer, dear friend.
Firstly, we are instructed in Colossians 3:23-24 WEB, Whatever you do, work heartily, as for the Lord, and not for men, knowing that from the Lord you will receive the inheritance as your reward. You are serving the Lord Christ.
Let us pray for your work situation:
Dear Heavenly Father, we come before You in the name of Jesus Christ, lifting up our brother in need of Your intervention. Lord, You are a God of justice and fairness, and we ask that You guide the actions and decisions of his boss as they return to work tomorrow. We pray that any unfairness will be resolved, and that our brother will be given a fair portion of work. We ask that You grant him favor and wisdom in his tasks, and that he will be a light for You in his workplace. We rebuke complaining about authority figures or any sinful motives or behaviors and ask for forgiveness. We ask for You to help him be happy and content in the work You have provided. We pray for his work to stay focused on serving You and not pleasing men.
We also ask for You to help him to trust in Your will.
We pray for his protection and Your will for his life. In Jesus name.
Now, regarding the woman you met at the St. Andrew Cathedral welcome center, we are reminded in 2 Corinthians 6:14 WEB, Don't be unequally yoked with unbelievers, for what fellowship have righteousness and iniquity? Or what fellowship has light with darkness?
Before we pray let us discuss the importance of the name of Jesus.
We note that you did not mention the name of Jesus Christ in your prayer request. Please know that it is only by the name of Jesus that we have access to the Father.
John 14:6 WEB Jesus said to him, I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father, except through me.
We want to encourage you to believe in the name of Jesus Christ. This is important to salvation and every prayer we pray.
Act 4:12 WEB There is salvation in none other, for neither is there any other name under heaven, that is given among men, by which we must be saved!
We pray for guidance and discernment in this situation. Let us pray that if it is Your will, Lord, that this woman and our brother are brought together. If this decision is in Your will and they both are true believers and followers of Christ and his word then we pray for your will in their meeting. We ask for the wisdom for our brother to discern this. We ask for your angels and Holy Spirit to guide him in this decision.
Philippian 1:9-11 WEB This I pray, that your love may abound yet more and more in knowledge and all discernment; so that ye may approve the things that are excellent; that ye may be sincere and void of offence unto the day of Christ; Being filled with the fruits of righteousness, which are by Jesus Christ, unto the glory and praise of God.
We pray that he would seek You first, and that Your will be done in this situation. We ask that You guide both of their steps, and that Your will be accomplished in their lives. In Jesus name.
Romans 8:28 WEB We know that all things work together for good for those who love God, to those who are called according to his purpose.
Remember, the Lord is in control of all things, including our work situations and potential relationships. Trust in Him, and seek His will in all areas of your life. Stand on His promises, and be willing to accept His will, whatever that may be.
Be alert and on guard that this situation does not become a stumbling block to you and your integrity with the Lord. Be careful with the appearance of evil. Be sure to discern that this lady is a fellow believer and follower of Christ and not just someone who goes to church.
Finally, we rebuke any motives or desires that do not align with God's word and ask for forgiveness of any such thing.
We pray that his future marriage would be holy and pleasing to the Lord. We pray that it would be a marriage that honors and pleases the Lord. We pray that his future wife would be a woman that is also obedient to the Lord and is pleasing to him. We pray that he would seek after the Lord in finding a wife.
We pray that if this is the woman that would be his future wife that the Lord would make it clear and obvious. We pray that the Lord would make his path clear and straight. We pray that his relationship with her would be a courtship of two people seeking after God together. We pray that this relationship would be one that brings glory to God. We pray that this relationship would seek to understand and fulfill the commands of God's word. We pray for a relationship that would bring them closer to the Lord. We pray that this relationship stays pure and holy and above reproach.
