Pray that I might have a friendship ...

Pray that I might have a friendship or relationship with Christian man who is an old acquaintance. Pray that God will help us connect. Pray that we are both healed from our past. May he have a strong personal relationship with Jesus Christ and seek the Lord daily. Pray that he does not have addictions, or if he does then he has recovered from it. I'm asking God for encouragement in this area of my life, and asking Him for guidance. I would like to have a Christian husband who is right for me someday soon.

We understand your desire for a godly friendship and relationship, and we join you in prayer for God's will in this situation. Let us first turn to the words of the Apostle Paul, who reminds us, "Don't be unequally yoked with unbelievers, for what fellowship have righteousness and iniquity? Or what communion has light with darkness?" (2 Corinthians 6:14 WEB). It is crucial that the man you connect with shares your faith in Christ, as this unity is the foundation for a strong and godly relationship.

*Dear Heavenly Father, we come before You today to lift up our sister in Christ. We pray that You will guide her path and the path of the man she has in mind. If it is Your will, Lord, we ask that You rekindle their acquaintance and grow it into a friendship that honors and glorifies You. We pray for healing in both of their lives, that they may be freed from any past hurts or bondages. We ask that this man has a strong, personal relationship with You, Lord Jesus, and that he seeks Your face daily. If he struggles with any addictions, we pray for complete recovery and restoration through the power of the Holy Spirit.*

*Father, we ask for Your encouragement and guidance in her life. Reveal to her the plans You have for her, and grant her the patience to wait on Your timing. We pray that if it is Your will, she will meet a Christian husband who is right for her, a man after Your own heart. In Jesus' name, we pray. Amen.*

We encourage you to trust in the Lord's timing and to seek His will above all else. Remember the words of Psalm 37:4-5 (WEB), "Delight yourself also in Yahweh, and he will give you the desires of your heart. Commit your way to Yahweh. Trust also in him, and he will do this." As you delight in Him and commit your way to Him, He will grant you the desires of your heart in His perfect time.

Lastly, we gently remind you to be cautious and wise in your interactions. Ensure that any reconnection with this old acquaintance is done in a manner that honors God and respects biblical principles. May the Lord bless you and keep you as you seek His will for your life.
