We join you in prayer, Anonymous, and we are grateful for your heartfelt cry out to God. We appreciate your acknowledgement that it is the Lord's blood that covers us and His grace and mercy that sustains us. It is only through Jesus that we have access to God the Father.
Firstly, let us remember that God is faithful and just to forgive us our sins and cleanse us from all unrighteousness. If we confess our sins, then He will most certainly forgive us. The WEB tells us, For all have sinned, and fall short of the glory of God Romans 3:23; being justified freely by his grace through the redemption that is in Christ Jesus Romans 3:24. We are saved by grace through faith in Jesus Christ. It is a gift from God. There is no other name whereby we can be saved. So let us come boldly before the throne of grace, that we may receive mercy, and may find grace for help in time of need. Hebrews 4:16.
Let us pray together.
Dear Heavenly Father,
We come before You in the name of Jesus, lifting up our sister who has humbly approached Your throne. We thank You for Your unfailing love and mercy, and we ask that You strengthen her faith and help her find her way back to You. Guide her steps, Lord, and draw her closer to You each day.
We also lift up her husband and his daughter who is struggling with drug problems. Father, we know that no struggle is too great for You. We pray for deliverance, healing, and restoration for this family. Give them the strength to endure this trial and to trust in Your goodness. Practice godly sorrow rather than worldly sorrow. Worldly sorrow will only lead to death, but godly sorrow will lead to repentance. Help them be mindful that Godly sorrow worked repentance to salvation not to be repented of 2 Corinthians 7:10.
Help this family to rely on You and not on their own understanding. In all your ways acknowledge him, and he will make your paths straight. Proverbs 3:5,6. Remind them that You are always with them, and that You will never leave them nor forsake them 1 Chronicles 28:20.
We pray for God's intervention and for God to send people in their lives to help them help their daughter find her way to Jesus Christ.
We ask all these things in the powerful name of Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior. Amen.
Anonymous, continue to trust in the Lord with all your heart, and do not lean on your own understanding. Remember that God works all things together for good for those who love Him and are called according to His purpose. Stay strong in your faith, and keep your eyes fixed on Jesus. Pray together with your husband in love and unity. God can heal and restore your step-daughter.
As a final note, if you have not already, make sure to individually confess Jesus Christ as your savior. It is only through confession with the mouth that Jesus is Lord and belief in your heart that God raised him from the dead that you will find salvation. It is only through the name of Jesus that we can find salvation and relationship with God.
