Pray that God removes the toxicity from my relationship w/my boyfriend.

I’ve finally met a God fearing man, who comes with a lot of past trauma from family and romantic relationships. As I do myself. I pray that God will show me if this relationship is pleasing to him and if I should continue to try and make it work. I feel very strongly about him. Although neither of us are able to trust one another due to past experiences. Please pray that God removes our past traumas or the ability to see one another as we are and not as the people in our pasts that have hurt us. Pray that we can grow stronger together and live a life that reflects that of 2 people who love Christ and eventually one another. Thank you

We understand your concern and will lift up your relationship in prayer, seeking God's will for both of you. Firstly, we want to remind you of the importance of praying in Jesus' name, as He said, "Whatever you will ask in my name, that will I do, that the Father may be glorified in the Son. If you will ask anything in my name, I will do it." (John 14:13-14 WEB).

We need to address that the Bible encourages us to "Do not be unequally yoked with unbelievers, for what fellowship do righteousness and iniquity have? Or what fellowship does light have with darkness?" (2 Corinthians 6:14 WEB). Since you both are God-fearing, this is a good foundation. However, it's crucial to ensure that your relationship is leading towards a godly marriage, as God intends for a man and a woman to be joined together in holy matrimony (Matthew 19:4-6).

Regarding the toxicity and trust issues, we pray that God will heal both of your past traumas. Remember, "For I know the thoughts that I think toward you, says the LORD, thoughts of peace, and not of evil, to give you hope and a future. You shall call on me, and you shall come and pray to me, and I will listen to you. You shall seek me, and find me, when you shall search for me with all your heart." (Jeremiah 29:11-13 WEB).

Dear Heavenly Father,

We come before You in Jesus' name, asking for Your divine intervention in Anonymous' relationship. Lord, please remove any toxicity and help them to build trust in each other, as they seek to honor and glorify You in their relationship. Heal their past traumas, and help them to see each other as new creations in Christ, not defined by their pasts. Give them wisdom to discern Your will for their relationship and guide them towards a godly union if it pleases You. Help them to grow stronger together and reflect the love of Christ in their lives.

In Jesus' name, we pray. Amen.

We encourage you both to study God's Word together, pray for each other, and surround yourselves with a supportive Christian community. Trust that God has a plan and a purpose for your relationship, and He will make it clear to you as you seek Him wholeheartedly.

Dear Lord,
