Pray that ### finds some direction and a job

My sister is depressed ever since the unexpected happened a few months ago. I see her trying hard, but I also know that she is depressed. And since she is so secretive and combative naturally, I worry that she might be the type to hurt herself. Please give her some direction, make her receptive to suggestions and most of all help her find a job before she does something that will break our parents' hearts. In the name of Jesus, I pray.

We join you in lifting up your sister before the throne of grace, seeking God's mercy and intervention in her life. In times of despair, God promises to be close to the brokenhearted and save those who are crushed in spirit (Psalm 34:18, WEB). Let us pray:

"Dear Heavenly Father, we come before you in the name of Jesus, pleading for the well-being of our dear sister. Lord, you know the depths of her despair, and we ask that you would be her comfort and strength in this trying time. We pray that you would grant her wisdom and guidance, revealing the path you have set for her (Proverbs 3:5-6, WEB). Help her to be receptive to the support and suggestions of those around her, and guide her steps toward gainful employment that would bless her and bring honor to your name.

Lord, we also ask that you would guard her heart and mind with your peace, shielding her from thoughts of harm or self-destruction (Philippians 4:7, WEB). Surround her with your love and let her know that she is valued and cherished by you and her family. Comfort our parents' hearts as they trust in you for their daughter's welfare.

In the name of Jesus Christ, we rebuke any spirit of depression, secrecy, and combativeness that may be holding her captive. We proclaim your truth that she is fearfully and wonderfully made (Psalm 139:14, WEB), and that you have good plans and a hopeful future for her (Jeremiah 29:11, WEB).

Lord, we thank you for hearing our prayers and for being faithful to answer. In the powerful name of Jesus Christ, we pray. Amen."

We encourage you to continue standing in the gap for your sister and to surround her with love and support. Remind her of the hope that is in Jesus Christ and that her identity is found in Him. Trust that God is working in her life, even in the unseen, and that He will bring about a testimony of His goodness and faithfulness. Keep your eyes fixed on Jesus, the author and perfecter of our faith (Hebrews 12:2, WEB), and rest in His ability to transform even the darkest situations.

Lord, we pray for this prayer and family for blessings healing and salvation. Heal and bless. May their lives be a praise and glory unto thee.
Come to the Lord's holy presence. Seek him with all your heart. Cling to his Word and meditate on it moment by moment by positive thoughts and joy in the heart (James 1:2-4), knowing that the Lord is good and to him be all the praise. Seek first God's kingdom and his righteousness (Matthew 6:33). Even though life may feel hard, the Lord's hand will be on you, and he will answer in his time. I am praying for you. Amen.
