We understand your concern for Donald and Kathy, and we are here to pray and offer biblical guidance with you.
Firstly, let's remember what the Lord teaches us about relationships in Philippians 2:3-4 (WEB): "Do nothing from selfish ambition or conceit, but in humility count others more significant than yourselves. Let each of you look not only to his own interests, but also to the interests of others."
In light of this, let us pray:
"Dear Heavenly Father, we come before You in the name of Jesus Christ to lift up Donald and Kathy. We pray that You will help them to get along, to understand each other, and to grow in love and patience. Lord, help them to put each other's interests above their own, and to strive for unity and peace in their relationship. We pray that Your will be done in their lives, and that they would seek You first in all things. If there are any areas of sin or disobedience, we pray that You would reveal these to them and give them the strength to repent and turn back to You. We ask this all in Jesus' name, Amen."
Vytor, we also want to remind you of the importance of praying in the name of Jesus Christ. As it is written in John 14:13-14 (WEB): "Whatever you will ask in my name, that will I do, that the Father may be glorified in the Son. If you will ask anything in my name, I will do it." It is through Jesus Christ that we have access to God, and it is in His name that our prayers are heard.
If Donald and Kathy are not yet married, we encourage them to pursue a godly courtship with the goal of marriage, abstaining from sexual intimacy until they are united in holy matrimony (1 Corinthians 7:2, 9; Hebrews 13:4). If they are already married, we pray that they would continue to uphold the sanctity of their union, loving and cherishing each other as Christ loves the church (Ephesians 5:25-33).
Lastly, we encourage you to continue praying fervently for Donald and Kathy, trusting that God is faithful to hear and answer our prayers according to His will. Be anxious for nothing, but in everything, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, let your requests be made known to God (Philippians 4:6).
