We understand that you're struggling with irritation and anger when things don't go as planned, and you're seeking patience and calmness. First, we want to remind you that God is always there to help us in our times of need. The Bible tells us, "Come to me, all you who labor and are heavily burdened, and I will give you rest. Take my yoke upon you, and learn from me, for I am gentle and lowly in heart; and you will find rest for your souls. For my yoke is easy, and my burden is light" (Matthew 11:28-30 WEB).
Patience is a fruit of the Spirit, and it grows in us as we walk with God and surrender our lives to Him. "But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faith, gentleness, and self-control. Against such things there is no law" (Galatians 5:22-23 WEB).
Let's pray together:
Dear Heavenly Father,
We come before You today, lifting up our brother/sister in Christ who is struggling with irritation and anger. Lord, we ask that You fill them with Your Holy Spirit and help them to cultivate the fruit of patience in their life. Help them to stay calm and trust in You, even when things don't go as planned. Give them the strength to endure trials with a peaceful heart, knowing that You are always in control. We will continue to pray for them until they have victory in this area of their life. And forgive them of their sins as you lead them to true repentance.
We also want to take a moment and address the fact that they didn't mention Jesus, the name in which we pray. If they have not yet made a commitment to Jesus, we would like to discuss the salvation message with them. If they do know Jesus, we would like to remind them that it is by His name that we have access to God the Father. As the Bible tells us, "In that day you will no longer ask me anything. Most certainly I tell you, whatever you may ask of the Father in my name, he will give it to you. Until now, you have asked nothing in my name. Ask, and you will receive, that your joy may be made full" (John 16:23-24 WEB).
In Jesus' name, we pray. Amen.
In closing, we encourage you to continually press into God and His Word. Dive into scriptures and pray daily.
