Dear lizzie2, we are glad you have come to us with your request for prayer.
Firstly, we would like to acknowledge that you have shown faith in God's grace, which is wonderful. However, we noticed that your prayer does not mention the name of Jesus Christ. It is by His name that we have access to God, as it is written in John 14:6 (WEB), "Jesus said to him, 'I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me.'" We encourage you to pray in His name, as it is the only name by which we can be saved (Acts 4:12).
As for your son Tom, we will indeed pray for him to find a great job. We remind you of Colossians 3:23-24 (WEB), "Whatever you do, work at it with all your heart, as working for the Lord, not for human masters, since you know that you will receive an inheritance from the Lord as a reward. It is the Lord Christ you are serving." We pray that Tom will find a job where he can serve the Lord and bring honor to His name.
Let us pray together:
Heavenly Father, we come before You in the name of Jesus Christ to lift up Tom. We pray that You will guide him to a job that will not only meet his needs but also allow him to serve You. Help him to work with all his heart, as if working for You, Lord. We trust in Your grace and Your plan for Tom's life. In Jesus' name, we pray. Amen.
Please continue to trust in the Lord, knowing that He has good plans for Tom's life (Jeremiah 29:11). Always feel free to come back to us with any other prayer requests or needs.
