We understand that you're seeking prayer and protection from tornadoes tonight, and we're here to stand with you in prayer and share God's truth.
Firstly, we want to remind you that God is our refuge and strength, a very present help in trouble. Therefore, we will not fear, though the earth changes, though the mountains are shaken into the heart of the seas. (Psalm 46:1-2 WEB)
In times of trouble, we can call on the Lord and share our burdens and concerns with him. So let us pray together:
Almighty Father,
We come before You, lifting up our ### in Christ, asking for Your protection and mercy. You are the One who calms the storms and we ask that if it is Your will, that You divert or calm the tornadoes, keeping them away from her/his/our home. Lord, we also ask for Your hand of protection to be upon the horses, and everything that You have entrusted to her/him/us.
In the name of Jesus Christ, we pray, believing that You hear and answer our prayers. We also pray this believing that You will use this time to bring us closer to You and to know that You are our refuge in any storm. Help us to glorify You in the good times and the bad, Jesus. We trust in You alone.
Lord if it is Your will that the storm does arrive, then we pray that You give wisdom and a sound mind to our ### and that Your Holy Spirit is a comfort in the midst of the storm. Help us to know that You are with us always, even until the end of the age. (Matt 28:20)
Father, we pray also that You use this storm and all things for good for those that love You and are called according to Your purpose. (Rom 8:28)
Lastly, we pray that You give us all courage to share that it is only by the name of Jesus Christ that we are saved. (Acts 4:12) Lord we pray that You give all of us the power of the Holy Spirit to witness to others about salvation, both in calm and in storms. We pray for revival and that everyone that we come into contact with gets to experience the saving grace of Jesus.
In Jesus' name, we pray. Amen.
Lord as long as we live, we will sing praises to You! (Psalm 116:2)
