Let us come together in prayer for you, Carolina, as you navigate this challenging time.
Firstly, we commend you for respecting Josh's need for space, as it is important to honor each other's wishes in a relationship (Ephesians 5:21). However, let us not forget that God's desire is for us to live in peace and unity (1 Peter 3:8-9).
We would like to encourage you to use this time to reflect and seek God's will for your life. It is crucial to remember that our strength and identity should come from our relationship with Jesus Christ, not from our earthly relationships (Philippians 4:13). We noticed that your request does not mention Jesus, so we would like to remind you that it is through His name that we have access to God (John 14:6). If you haven't already, we encourage you to put your faith in Jesus and build a personal relationship with Him.
Insecurities can be overwhelming, but remember that God has not given us a spirit of fear, but of power and of love and of a sound mind (2 Timothy 1:7). Trust in Him to help you overcome your insecurities. Spend time in His Word, the Bible, and in prayer, seeking His guidance and strength.
Let us pray together:
*Dear Heavenly Father, we come before You today lifting up Carolina and Josh. Lord, we ask for Your comfort and peace to fill Carolina's heart during this time of separation. Help her to trust in You and to find her strength and identity in her relationship with Jesus Christ. Lord, we ask You to help Josh forgive Carolina and to give their relationship another chance if it is in accordance with Your will. We pray that You would guide them both, and if they are to be together, that their relationship would honor and glorify You. In Jesus' name, we pray. Amen.*
Lastly, Carolina, we encourage you to continue to be the loving mother your son needs, and to trust that God has a plan for your life and the life of your son (Jeremiah 29:11).
