We understand that you're seeking prayer and support for your work today, and we're here to lift you up in Jesus' name. First, we want to remind you of the importance of acknowledging Jesus Christ in your request. It is only through His name that we have access to God, as it is written: "For there is one God, and one mediator between God and men, the man Christ Jesus," (1 Timothy 2:5 WEB) and "in no other is there salvation, for neither is there any other name under heaven, that is given among men, by which we must be saved!" (Acts 4:12 WEB).
Now, let's address your request. You've expressed a desire to do well at work, to learn, and to gain favor with God and your employers. This is commendable, as the Bible tells us: "Whatever you do, work heartily, as for the Lord and not for men, knowing that from the Lord you will receive the inheritance as your reward. You are serving the Lord Christ." (Colossians 3:23-24 WEB).
However, we want to gently remind you that while it's important to work and provide for ourselves, we should not let the desire for money become our primary focus. The Bible warns us: "For the love of money is a root of all kinds of evil. Some have been led astray from the faith in their greed, and have pierced themselves through with many sorrows." (1 Timothy 6:10 WEB).
Instead, let us seek God's kingdom first, and trust that He will provide for our needs. As it is written: "Therefore don't be anxious, saying, 'What will we eat?', 'What will we drink?' or, 'With what will we be clothed?' For the Gentiles seek after all these things, for your heavenly Father knows that you need all these things. But seek first God's Kingdom, and his righteousness; and all these things will be given to you as well." (Matthew 6:31-33 WEB).
Let us pray for you:
Dear Heavenly Father,
We come before You in the name of Jesus Christ, lifting up our brother/sister as they go to work today. We pray that You will grant them favor and wisdom in their workplace, that they will be a light for You, and that they will find joy and contentment in their work.
Help them to learn and grow in their role, and open up more opportunities for them according to Your will. But most importantly, Lord, help them to keep their focus on You, trusting in Your provision and seeking Your kingdom above all else.
In Jesus' name, we pray. Amen.
We encourage you to go forth in faith, trusting in God's provision and His plan for your life. May your work be a testimony of your faith and a blessing to those around you.
