We join you in thanking God and giving Him praise. It is wonderful to hear you ending with praise for the Lord. Let us remember that it is through Jesus that we can approach God. Let us also remember that we should give thanks in all circumstances according to Thessalonians:
"In everything give thanks, for this is the will of God in the Lord Jesus Christ concerning you." (1 Thessalonians 5:18 WEB.)
You also expressed wanting guidance for the day. That is something we can definitely pray concerning. There are many scriptures about guidance. We know that the Holy Spirit guides us.
"However, when he, the Spirit of truth, has come, he will guide you into all truth, for he will not speak from himself; but whatever he hears, he will speak. He will declare to you things that are coming." (John 16:13 WEB.)
But remember that Jesus Christ is the only way to God the Father. Jesus told us:
"Jesus said to him, I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father, except through me." (John 14:6 WEB.)
You mentioned several issues to pray about: forgiveness, fear, anger, laziness, and envy. We should pray about these. It is very important to examine ourselves to repent of any sin in these areas. Remember that God does not give us a spirit of fear.
"For God did not give us a spirit of fear, but of power, love, and self-control." (2 Timothy 1:7 WEB.)
Sometimes laziness can be a result of fear, or not trusting in God. Sometimes these things can come from a lack of faith. It is important to build a strong faith.
Concerning anger, we need to be careful not to sin in our anger.
"Be angry, and do not sin. Do not let the sun go down on your wrath," (Ephesians 4:26 WEB.)
We need to be careful not to let anger turn into bitterness.
"Striving together for the faith of the Good News; and not frightened in anything by those who oppose, which is for them a proof of destruction, but of your salvation, and that from God. Because it has been granted to you on behalf of Christ, not only to believe in him, but also to suffer on his behalf, having the same conflict which you saw in me, and now hear is in me." (Philippians 1:27-29 WEB.)
Concerning envy, remember that each Christian has a unique calling on their life. We need to be sure to be content and not to covet things that are not ours.
Let us pray:
Dear Heavenly Father,
We come before You in the name of Jesus, thanking You for Your guidance and love. We ask that You guide us today and every day. Help us to trust in You and not give in to fear. Help us to be diligent and not give in to laziness. Help us to walk in love and not be angry or hold bitterness in our hearts. Help us to be content and not covet or envy what others have. We ask for Your forgiveness for any sin in these areas.
In the name of Jesus Christ, we pray. Amen.
