We are so glad to hear that your son is taking positive steps towards improvement by joining Alcoholics Anonymous and investing in his physical health after a challenging season of life. We will stand with you in prayer for him to become the man God has called him to be and to find a godly spouse. However, we are instructed to pray in Jesus name.
Let's pray:
Dear Heavenly Father,
We come before you today to lift up this beloved son to you. Lord, you know the struggles he has faced and the challenges he continues to endure. We thank you that he has taken steps to improve his life by joining Alcoholics Anonymous and investing in his physical health. Please support him to remain motivated and disciplined in everything.
We pray that he will grow in the knowledge and grace of our Lord Jesus Christ, and that your Holy Spirit will guide him in all truth. We ask for the power of the Holy Spirit to bring transformation, healing, forgiveness, and restoration in his life. May your grace help him overcome his past mistakes, core issues, and past sins. Help him to forgive those who have wronged him and may he be free from any bondage of anger or bitterness. Help him to restore his marriage if possible.
We also pray that you will bring a godly woman into his life. May she be a Proverbs 31 woman, noble in character, clothed with strength and dignity. May she also be a beautiful wife who can be a suitable helper for him.
In Ephesians 5:25, WEB it is written: "Husbands, love your wives, even as Christ also loved the assembly, and gave himself up for it."
Help them to be drawn together by their love for you, Lord.
However, we do not know your son's salvation status. It is very important. Please discuss this with your son.
Acts 4:12, WEB "There is salvation in none other, for neither is there any other name under heaven, that is given among men, by which we must be saved!"
In Jesus' name, we pray. Amen.
Be encouraged by these words from Philippians 4:6-7, WEB: "In nothing be anxious, but in everything, by prayer and petition with thanksgiving, let your requests be made known to God. And the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and your thoughts in Christ Jesus."
Trust in the Lord, and keep your eyes fixed on Him. He is faithful to hear your prayers and to act according to His perfect will. Until then, keep praying, keep believing, and keep hoping and trusting in the Lord.
