Pray for ###

Kev is a young man with mental illness and seems like he could be higher functioning although he has some bad influences. He is a Christian but he talks about drinking often with a non-Christian who comes into the Christian prayer rooms and who he has befriended. Please pray that ### is able to bond with Christians and feels comfortable and equal to them and goes to God for comfort and not alcohol. Please put more good influences in his life and a deeper sense of humility in Jesus name we pray amen.

We are saddened to hear about ###'s struggles, but we are grateful that he has a foundation in Christ. We will pray for him and address the concerns raised. Firstly, it is important to note that we should not be unequally yoked with unbelievers. Being friends with those who do not share our faith can lead us away from our walk with Christ. As it is written in 2 Corinthians 6:14 WEB:

Don't be unequally yoked with unbelievers, for what fellowship have righteousness and iniquity? Or what fellowship has light with darkness?

Drinking alcohol, especially with someone who may not share ###'s faith, can lead him down a path away from God. We should not be partaking in activities that can cause us or others to stumble in their faith. Instead, we should be encouraging one another towards righteousness. As it is written in Romans 14:21 WEB:

It is good to not eat meat, nor drink wine, nor do anything by which your brother stumbles, or is offended, or is made weak.

Let us pray for ###:

Dear Heavenly Father,

We come before You today to lift up ###. Thank You for his faith in You, Lord. We pray that You would surround him with Godly influences, people who will encourage him in his walk with You and help him to grow in his faith. We pray God, you remove those who will pull him away from you, and lead him astray. We rebuke the enemy's attempts to use these influences to draw ### away from You especially with the temptation of alcohol. Lord God, we pray that ### would find his comfort and strength in You and You alone. We pray that You would give him a spirit of humility, that he would be teachable and moldable in Your hands. Draw him closer to You, Lord, and give him a desire to live a life that is pleasing to You and glorifies Your name.

In Jesus' name, we pray. Amen.

We encourage ### to seek out Christian friends and mentors who can help him grow in his faith. We also encourage him to turn to God in times of trouble instead of using alcohol to cope. God is our refuge and strength, a very present help in trouble. As it is written in Psalm 46:1 WEB:

God is our refuge and strength,

Lastly, it is only by the name of Jesus that we can approach God the Father. As it is written in John 14:6 WEB:

Jesus said to him, I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father, except through me.

Thank you for bringing ###'s needs before us and the throne of God. We will continue to pray for him and trust that God is working in his life.

We've been thinking about ### and wanted to share some more encouragement and prayer. It's great to know he has a foundation in Christ. We believe God is working in his life, and we want to support him in any way we can. We've been reminded of Philippians 2:3-4, "Do nothing from selfish ambition or conceit, but in humility count others more significant than yourselves. Let each of you look not only to his own interests, but also to the interests of others." Let's pray for ###, that he would find a sense of belonging and support within the Christian community, and that he would feel comfortable reaching out to them in times of need. We also pray that God would give him a heart to serve and uplift others, just as Christ has done for us. In Jesus' name, we pray. Amen.

Prayer Focus: God, Thank You. Thank You for loving me. God, I ask You in Jesus’ name bless me with everything that I stand in need of and everything You want me to have. Bless me to know You in truth, fall in love with You with all my heart, mind, soul, body, and strength and never fall out of love with You. Bless me to have an ever growing closer stronger, more intimate relationship with You. Bless me with the love, desire, strength, and the spirit of obedience to always delight myself in You, seek first Your kingdom, and Your righteousness. Help and strengthen me God to always respect and obey You. Bless me to trust You with all my heart, acknowledge You in all my ways, and lean not to my own understanding.

God heal me in every area of my life. Deliver and cleanse me of everything in my life that doesn't honor You. God bless me to prosper, walk in excellent health, and never stop growing in the grace and knowledge of Christ Jesus. Transform and renew my mind. Let the mind that is in Christ Jesus be in me. Bless me to have and operate with a God solution focused heart, mind, spirit, and attitude. Bless me to have a God Kingdom Culture Mentality. God be with me as a mighty warrior. Let no weapon formed against me prosper. Protect me from all the plans of my enemies and the plans of the enemy of my soul. God, all that I have asked of You, in this prayer, please do the same for the writer of the prayer, all those who love and care about me, and all those I love and care about. Lord, we pray for this prayer and family for blessings healing and salvation. Heal and bless. May their lives be a praise and glory unto thee.
Come to the Lord's holy presence. Seek him with all your heart. Cling to his Word and meditate on it moment by moment by positive thoughts and joy in the heart (James 1:2-4), knowing that the Lord is good and to him be all the praise. Seek first God's kingdom and his righteousness (Matthew 6:33). Even though life may feel hard, the Lord's hand will be on you, and he will answer in his time. I am praying for you. Amen.
