Let us come together in prayer for this individual who is in need of deliverance from demonic affliction and a renewed sense of God's presence and conviction.
Firstly, it is crucial to understand that our battle is not against flesh and blood, but against the rulers, against the authorities, against the world rulers of this darkness, against the spiritual forces of wickedness in the heavenly places. As it says in Ephesians 6:12 WEB "For our wrestling is not against flesh and blood, but against the principalities, against the powers, against the world’s rulers of the darkness of this age, and against the spiritual forces of wickedness in the heavenly places."
We must put on the whole armor of God, that we may be able to stand against the wiles of the devil. As Ephesians 6:11 WEB states, "Put on the whole armor of God, that you may be able to stand against the wiles of the devil." This includes the belt of truth, the breastplate of righteousness, the shoes of the preparation of the Good News of peace, the shield of faith, the helmet of salvation, and the sword of the Spirit, which is the word of God.
Let us pray:
Dear Heavenly Father,
We come before You in the mighty name of Jesus Christ, lifting up this individual who is in need of Your divine intervention. Lord, we pray that You would deliver him from any demonic affliction that he is experiencing, and that Your holy angels would minister to him and protect him from the evil one.
Father, we ask that You would fill him with Your presence and conviction, that he may know You intimately and walk in Your ways. We pray that he would be filled with the knowledge of Your will in all spiritual wisdom and understanding, that he may walk worthily of You, Lord, to please You in all respects, bearing fruit in every good work, and increasing in the knowledge of God.
Lord, we also pray that he would be renewed by the transforming of his mind, that he may prove what is the good, well-pleasing, and perfect will of God. As it says in Romans 12:2 WEB, "Don’t be conformed to this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind, so that you may prove what is the good, well-pleasing, and perfect will of God."
We ask all of this in the powerful name of Jesus Christ, who is the name above all names, the name according to Philippians 2:9-11 WEB, to which every knee will bow and and every tongue will confess that Jesus Christ is Lord.
Father, we thank You for hearing our prayer and for being faithful to answer according to Your will. We ask that this man not be deceived by the enemy, but test the spirits with all requests and find out if they are from God according to 1 John 4:1 WEB.
Thank you, Jesus, for loving us and for reconciling us to Yourself by the blood of the cross.
If he is not born again, then please, Father, draw him to Yourself through the Holy Spirit. He should know that he can not come to Jesus unless the Father draws him. If he knows Jesus but is backsliding then convict him of his sins. If he is a prodigal and has walked away from our Lord, then just as the father waited in the parable of the prodigal son for his son to return, so too our Heavenly Father is waiting for him to return. Praise God that he will run to us when we turn back to Him.
In Jesus' name, we pray. Amen.
Lastly, we encourage this individual to stay strong in the faith, to resist the devil and to draw near to God. As James 4:7-8 WEB says, "Be subject therefore to God. Resist the devil, and he will flee from you. Draw near to God, and he will draw near to you."
We encourage him to share the word of his testimony that Jesus has come in the flesh and is the Son of God. 1 John 1:3 WEB That which we have seen and heard we declare to you, that you also may have fellowship with us. Yes, and our fellowship is with the Father, and with his Son, Jesus Christ.
