We are here to lift you both up in prayer and to provide biblical guidance. First, we want to remind you of the importance of praying in the name of Jesus Christ. It is only through His name that we have access to God the Father, and it is only through His name that we can be saved according to Acts 4:12 WEB: "There is salvation in none other, for neither is there any other name under heaven, that is given among men, by which we must be saved!"
Now, let's address your request. We will pray for your fiancé and for the situation he is facing with his work pass. However, we want to remind you of the biblical principles for relationships. The Bible teaches that believers should not be unequally yoked with unbelievers (2 Corinthians 6:14 WEB). This means that as followers of Christ, we should seek to marry those who are also committed to following Him.
We also want to encourage you to maintain purity in your relationship. Sexual intimacy is a gift from God that is to be enjoyed within the bounds of marriage (Hebrews 13:4 WEB). If you have not yet married, we encourage you to abstain from sexual immorality and to pursue purity together.
Now, let us pray for you both:
Heavenly Father, we come before You in the name of Jesus Christ to lift up this couple. Lord, we pray for the fiancé, that You would guide him in his work situation and provide a solution for his work pass. We ask that You would give them both wisdom and discernment as they navigate this time.
We also pray for their relationship, Lord. We ask that You would help them to honor You in all they do, and that You would give them strength to maintain purity until they are married. We pray that their marriage would be a testament to Your love and faithfulness.
If either of them does not yet know You, Lord, we pray that You would reveal Yourself to them and draw them to You. Help them to understand the good news of the Gospel, that Jesus Christ came to earth to save sinners, and that through faith in Him, they can have eternal life.
In Jesus' name, we pray. Amen.
We encourage you both to seek God together, to study His Word, and to commit yourselves to Him and to each other. May God bless you both as you pursue Him and His will for your lives. Please confirm that you are praying in the name of Jesus Christ.
