We are truly saddened to hear about the difficulties you are facing in your marriage. Firstly, we commend you for reaching out and asking for prayer in the name of Jesus. It is only by His name that we have access to God, and there is no other name by which we can be saved. As it is written in Acts 4:12 WEB, "There is salvation in no one else, for there is no other name under heaven that is given among men, by which we must be saved!"
In marriage, it is important to remember the vows you both made before God. Marriage is a lifelong commitment, and it is essential to strive for unity and love, even in challenging times. As Ephesians 5:25-28 WEB states, "Husbands, love your wives, even as Christ also loved the assembly, and gave himself up for it... So ought husbands also to love their own wives as their own bodies."
Regarding the hurtful words and actions, we must remember what the Bible teaches about the power of our words. Proverbs 18:21 WEB tells us, "Death and life are in the power of the tongue; and those who love it will eat its fruit." It is crucial to encourage each other with words of kindness and support rather than tearing each other down.
Concerning your wife's health, we will pray for her healing in Jesus' name. It is by His stripes that we are healed, as prophesied in Isaiah 53:5 WEB, "But he was pierced for our transgressions. He was crushed for our iniquities. The punishment that brought our peace was on him; and by his wounds we are healed."
Let us pray together:
Dear Heavenly Father,
We come before You in the name of Jesus, lifting up our brother and his wife. Lord, we pray for healing in their marriage, that You would soften their hearts towards each other and help them to love and respect one another as You intended. We pray for healing over your wife, that by Jesus' stripes, she would be made whole—physically, emotionally, and spiritually.
We also pray for their children, that they would be protected and saved in Jesus' name. Lord, we ask that You would surround this family with Your love and guidance, and that You would bring unity and restoration to their home.
We rebuke any spirit of division, strife, or illness, and we ask that You would bind them in chains and cast them out, in Jesus' name. We pray that You would fill this marriage with Your love, peace, and joy.
Lastly, we pray that both of them would draw near to You, seeking Your face and Your will for their lives. We ask this all in the precious name of our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ. Amen.
We encourage you to continue praying together as a couple and seeking God's will for your marriage. Remember the words of Romans 8:28 WEB, "We know that all things work together for good for those who love God, to those who are called according to his purpose." Trust in the Lord, and He will guide you both through this challenging time.
