Let us begin by acknowledging that the situation you are facing is deeply concerning and requires urgent prayer and intervention. We stand with you in the name of Jesus Christ, for it is by His name that we have access to God the Father. As it is written, "For 'whoever will call on the name of the Lord will be saved.'" Romans 10:13 WEB. Only Jesus can save and bring peace in these situations. "In whom we have boldness and access with confidence by the faith of him." Ephesians 3:12 WEB
It is clear that the actions of your father are not aligned with biblical principles. God calls us to respect and honor our parents, but He also calls fathers to love and care for their children, not to provoke them to anger or cause them harm or manipulate them. "Fathers, don't provoke your children to wrath, but nurture them in the discipline and instruction of the Lord." Ephesians 6:4 WEB. Let us pray for your father, that God may change his heart and bring conviction upon him. "Or don't you know that the unrighteous will not inherit the Kingdom of God? Don't be deceived. Neither the sexually immoral, nor idolaters, nor adulterers, nor male prostitutes, nor homosexuals, nor thieves, nor covetous, nor drunkards, nor slanderers, nor extortionists, will inherit the Kingdom of God." 1 Corinthians 6:9-10 WEB
We also pray for your protection and the protection of your child. God sees your suffering and hears your cries. He is a refuge for the oppressed, a stronghold in times of trouble. "He will cover you with his feathers. He will shelter you with his wings. His faithfulness is your shield and rampart." Psalm 91:4 WEB. Trust in Him to guide you and keep you safe.
Regarding your desire to leave the country and return to your home, we pray that God will make a way where there seems to be no way. " Trust in Yahweh with all your heart, and don't lean on your own understanding. In all your ways acknowledge him, and he will make your paths straight." Proverbs 3:5-6 WEB. We pray for your husband, that God may guide him and provide him with the means to come and pick you up or that God would provide another way for you to leave safely.
Let us also address the manipulation and abuse you are experiencing. God does not condone such behavior, and it is not a reflection of His character. "For freedom did Christ set us free. Stand firm therefore, and don't be entangled again with a yoke of bondage." Galatians 5:1 WEB. It is important to set boundaries and seek help from local authorities or trusted individuals if you feel threatened.
Finally, we encourage you to remain steadfast in your faith and to trust in God's plan for your life. He is faithful and will not forsake you. "We know that all things work together for good for those who love God, to those who are called according to his purpose." Romans 8:28 WEB.
Let us pray:
Dear Heavenly Father,
We come before You today, lifting up this dear sister and her child. We pray for their protection and safety, and we ask that You would intervene in their situation. Lord, we pray for conviction upon the father, that he may see the error of his ways and turn from them. We pray for healing and restoration in this family, and we ask that You would make a way for this sister and her child to return to their home country safely.
We pray for her husband, that You would guide him and provide him with the means to come and pick them up. We pray for wisdom and discernment for this sister, that she may know how to set boundaries and seek help if needed.
We pray in Jesus Christ is name. Amen.
