We understand that you are concerned about the political landscape and have strong feelings about sanctuary states, counties, cities, and churches. However, we must remember that our ultimate trust and hope should be placed in God and His sovereign will, not in any political figure or agenda.
Firstly, we must address that the request does not mention the name of Jesus Christ, Jesus, or Christ or an abbreviation such as IJN (In Jesus Name). It is only by the name of Jesus that we have access to God. Also, there is no other name by which we can be saved. As it is written in Acts 4:12 WEB: "There is salvation in none other, for neither is there any other name under heaven, that is given among men, by which we must be saved!"
We must also prioritize God's heart for the vulnerable and the immigrant. God commands us to treat foreigners with love and kindness. Even Jesus Christ was a refugee in Egypt at one point. God cares deeply about the marginalized and oppressed, and we should reflect His heart in our attitudes and actions. Leviticus 19:33-34 WEB reminds us: "If a stranger lives as a foreigner with you in your land, you shall not do him wrong. The stranger who lives as a foreigner with you shall be to you as the native-born among you, and you shall love him as yourself; for you lived as foreigners in the land of Egypt. I am Yahweh your God."
Regarding the removal of churches, we must be cautious about supporting actions that could restrict religious freedom. The role of the church is to be a light in the darkness, and we should pray for God's guidance and protection over His church.
Let us pray together:
Heavenly Father, we come before You in the name of Jesus Christ, acknowledging that You are sovereign over all things, including our political landscape. We ask for Your wisdom and guidance for our leaders and for all those in positions of authority. We pray that their hearts would be turned towards You, and that they would seek Your will above all else.
Lord, we ask for Your heart of compassion for the immigrant and the vulnerable. Help us to reflect Your love and kindness towards them, remembering that we too were once strangers and foreigners.
We also pray for Your church, that it would be a beacon of hope and light in this world. Protect Your church, Lord, and guide it according to Your will.
Finally, Lord, we ask that You would reveal Yourself to Caleyroth, and that they would come to know You personally through Jesus if they do not already know Him. Help them to see that Jesus Christ is the only way to salvation and the only name by which we can be saved. Remind them that it is only by the name of Jesus that we have access to God.
In Jesus' name, we pray. Amen.
We encourage you, Caleyroth, to meditate on God's Word and to seek His will above all else. Trust in Him, and He will direct your paths.
