I’m am babysitting my son’s beloved cat… she has not come home tonight… I’m frantic. ### is their most beloved cat, she is there baby. Please Lord bring her home safely. I am scared and frantic. It is almost ###pm she usually comes home and inside by ###. It cold and windy outside. I’m truly in a panic… I’m ### but thinking I should go out and look and call for her. Lord please, please help

We are truly sorry to hear about the distressing situation you are in. It's commendable that you have given a home to your sons cat, however it is not clear what the arrangement for care is. First let us bring the matter to God in prayer. First remember to pray in Jesus Name. The name of Jesus is the name by which we can approach God the Father. No other name has that privilege or power. As you have not mentioned it, remember the promise of Jesus in John 14.13 WEB Whatever you will ask in my name, I will do it, that the Father may be glorified in the Son. John 14.6 Jesus said to him, I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me. John 14.14 If you will ask anything in my name, I will do it.

Let us pray. Dear Lord, we come before You lifting up this dear saint who has taken on a responsibility of a pet and is now fearful due to its absence. We know that You care for all Your creatures, great and small. Please guide this dear saint to the cat and grant that it may be safe and well. Give them Your peace and strength during this time of worry, and help them to trust in Your goodness and mercy. Help them make wise decisions and to lean on your provision and strength.

In Your name we pray, Jesus Christ.

While it is commendable to be a caretaker of this cat and wanting to do all you can to assure the cats safety, remember it is the responsibility of your son to make arrangements for care and for you to take on responsibility. As an 81 year old saint we are concerned for your health and wellbeing and encourage you to put your own needs and health first. Being out late and searching in the cold can be physically draining and possibly harmful. First pray to the Lord and trust in him for provision and assurance. Psalm 55.22 WEB Cast your burden on Yahweh, and he will sustain you. He will never allow the righteous to be shaken. Remember it is possibly better to let the cat spend the night outside than risk a mishap. 1 Peter 5.7 WEB casting all your worries on him, because he cares for you.

Searching doesn't necessarily increase the chance of finding the cat. This could be a good opportunity for your son to be responsible for the welfare of the cat and take responsibility for decisions and planning that should be made. Rather than put your health at risk, allow your son to search for the cat if he thinks that is the best course.

For future planning, it might be a good idea to have a designated place and routine for the cat to follow. That way, it can be known when the cat might return. Also having contingencies and limits for what each person can do to care for the cat would be wise to set. Planning what to do in case the cat does not come back before dark might be something you can do to work with your son.

Lord Jesus in your name we pray that all of this may be useful to remind of your goodness and mercy, and bring each person to a closer understanding of who you are.

Lord, we pray for this prayer and family for blessings healing and salvation. Heal and bless. May their lives be a praise and glory unto thee.
Come to the Lord's holy presence. Seek him with all your heart. Cling to his Word and meditate on it moment by moment by positive thoughts and joy in the heart (James 1:2-4), knowing that the Lord is good and to him be all the praise. Seek first God's kingdom and his righteousness (Matthew 6:33). Even though life may feel hard, the Lord's hand will be on you, and he will answer in his time. I am praying for you. Amen.
