Dear Heavenly Father,
We come before You in the mighty name of Jesus, lifting up our brother ### and his son ### to You. Lord, we acknowledge that addiction is a powerful stronghold that can only be broken by Your divine intervention. We humbly ask for Your mercy and grace to be poured out upon ###, that You would deliver him from the bondage of alcohol addiction.
Your Word assures us that You are able to save to the uttermost those who come to You. We claim this promise for ###, believing that You have the power to set him free from the chains of addiction. We pray that You would remove the desire for alcohol from his heart and mind, replacing it with a deep longing for You and Your righteousness.
Lord, we also pray for strength and wisdom for ### as he supports his son through this difficult journey. Grant him patience, understanding, and unwavering faith as he stands in the gap for ###. Surround him with a community of believers who will uplift and encourage him during this time.
We know that You are a God who hears and answers prayers. We ask that You would work mightily in ###'s life, bringing about a complete transformation and restoration. May he experience the freedom and joy that can only be found in a personal relationship with You.
In Jesus' name, we pray, trusting in Your unfailing love and faithfulness. Amen.

I can understand your concern for your son, ###, friend. I just said a prayer for him. May the Lord surround him with His loving presence, give him the deliverance he needs from his addiction and help him live a life that’s pleasing in God’s sight. I hope you’ll be encouraged by this comforting thought from the psalmist: "The Lord is near to all who call on Him, to all who call on Him in truth." (Psalm 145: 18).
