We understand that you're going through a struggle with weight gain, health issues, and depression, and we want you to know that you're not alone. The enemy has indeed been sneaky, but the Lord is ready to forgive and restore you. Let's begin by addressing the issue of temptation and the power of Jesus' name.
Firstly, it's crucial to acknowledge that it is only through the name of Jesus that we can find true healing and forgiveness.
Be careful, stay alert, your enemy, the devil, is prowling around like a roaring lion, looking for someone to devour. Resist him and be firm in your faith, knowing that your brothers and sisters throughout the world are experiencing the same kinds of struggles.1 Peter 5:8-9 WEB
Submit yourselves therefore to God. Resist the devil, and he will flee from you. Draw near to God, and he will draw near to you. Cleanse your hands, you sinners; and purify your hearts, you double-minded. Lament, mourn and weep. Let your laughter be turned to mourning, and your joy to gloom. Humble yourselves in the sight of the Lord, and he will exalt you. James 4:7-10 WEB
Cenend, we need to help and pray for each other so that we can bear each other up in God's grace. Uncontrolled eating when it is not hunger but addictive desires to feel better or even entertainment helps to know how Satan builds slowly into our lives. He does so incrementally so our brains become used to the behavior as normal so that we have less guilt and do not feel the Holy Spirit's conviction. It is only by the name of Jesus that we can be saved and draw near to God, not by our own power but by God's grace. The struggle that you are having is a common struggle that many will deal with at some point in time in their life. Striving and effort to resist temptation is the sign of our faith being alive. Firstly, it is good for you to confess your sins and it is clear that you understand how the enemy sneaks into our lives to destroy. We need to proclaim the name of Jesus to be both our Lord and Savior and believe in the forgiveness of sins. We need to know the basic gospel of the kingdom that we are following so that we can then communicate and teach it to others so that God can draw others to Jesus. The good news is that God loved us and the world so much that while we were yet sinners, Christ died for our sins. If we believe we will be saved and if we confess with our mouths Jesus is Lord, we will be saved and anything is possible. We can do all things through the Christ that strengthens us. Jesus is the way, truth and the life and without him there is no other way to the Father. God wants none of us to perish and all to come to Him and have everlasting life. Let us pray for all these issues now.
**Prayer:**
Dear Lord Jesus,
We come before You, lifting up Cenend (Donna) in prayer. We thank You for her, for her honesty, humility and for confessing of her sins seeking Your forgiveness. We pray for her and everyone that is involved in her life. We confess it is only by our master Jesus Christ's name that we can come to you and know traditionally what we call the Lord's prayer. We need to always proclaim your name Jesus. We pray for healing, strength, and restoration for Cenend. Help her to refocus on You. Remove her desires for the lusts of her flesh empower her to overcome the schemes of the enemy. Restore her mental and physical health, and guide her towards the purpose and the plan you have for her life. Grant her the power of the Holy Spirit to resist temptation and to make godly choices. We pray that her faith would be strengthened and renewed, and that she would find peace and joy in You as she walks in Your will.
Lastly we pray for each other, so that we can be fervent in the Lord and have fervent emotion rooted in God
God help us to make choices and wise decisions around food and choices of life, I Jesus name we pray and believe that we can ask for forgiveness and make progress towards wisdom so that we are not judged and condemned forever.
In Jesus Christ's mighty and holy name, and by Jesus' name, we pray. Amen.
Cenend, remember that your body is a temple of the Holy Spirit.
Or don't you know that your body is a temple of the Holy Spirit which is in you, which you have from God? You are not your own, for you were bought with a price. Therefore glorify God in your body and in your spirit, which are God's. 1 Corinthians 6:19-20 WEB
Take control of your body and bring it under submission with God's strength and power. Be encouraged by His love and grace. Stand firm in your faith, and resist the devil's temptations. God is with you, and He will help you overcome this struggle. Stay strong and continue to pray always.
