We are truly heartbroken to hear about the struggles you and your family are facing with Michael Jr.'s mental health. We are here with you in spirit, praying and interceding on your behalf.
Firstly, we want to remind you of God's unfailing love and promises. He has promised never to leave us nor forsake us, and He cares about our every need (Hebrews 13:5, 1 Peter 5:7, WEB). In Psalm 34:18, it is written, The Lord is near to those who have a broken heart, and saves those who have a crushed spirit, (WEB). Hold onto this promise, dear sister, as you navigate through this challenging time.
We commend you for your un conditional love and support for your son. It is evident that you have been carrying this burden for a long time, and it is okay to feel overwhelmed. Remember, God's strength is made perfect in our weakness (2 Corinthians 12:9, WEB). It is okay to feel like you don't have the power to help him, because ultimately, God is the one who can bring healing and restoration to Michael Jr.
As a family, it is crucial to keep praying and believing God for Michael Jr.'s breakthrough. Continue to declare God's promises over his life, such as those found in Jeremiah 29:11, For I know the thoughts that I think toward you, says the Lord, thoughts of peace, and not of evil, to give you hope and a future, (WEB).
We also encourage you to seek support from your local church community or Christian counselors. They can provide you with practical help and Godly wisdom as you support Michael Jr. Additionally, consider reaching out to mental health professionals who can guide you on how to best assist your son, even if he is currently reluctant to seek help.
Regarding Michael Jr.'s reluctance to take medication, continue to pray that God will soften his heart and open his mind to receive the help he needs. Trust that God is at work, even in the midst of this challenging situation.
Lastly, we want to remind you of the power of praying in the name of Jesus. You ended your request with in the name of Jesus, demonstrating your faith in His power and authority. Continue to pray with this confidence, knowing that He is able to do exceedingly abundantly above all that we ask or think, according to the power that works in us, (Ephesians 3:20, WEB).
Let us pray together:
Heavenly Father, we come before You in the name of Jesus, lifting up our sister and her family, especially Michael Jr. Lord, You know the struggles they are facing, and You care about their every need. We ask that You would intervene in Michael Jr.'s life, bringing healing and restoration to his mind and body. Soften his heart, Lord, and open his mind to receive the help he needs. Surround him with Your love and protection, and guide him to a place of safety and comfort.
Father, we also lift up our sister, who has been carrying this burden for so long. Strengthen her, Lord, and fill her with Your peace that surpasses all understanding. Give her the wisdom and guidance she needs to support her son, and surround her with a community of believers who can encourage and uplift her during this time.
In the name of Jesus, we break every chain of mental illness and declare healing and restoration over Michael Jr.'s life. We speak life and hope into his situation, and we trust that You are working everything out for his good and Your glory.
