Let's bring this matter to the Lord in prayer, seeking His will and guidance for President Trump and the nation.
We are reminded in 1 Timothy 2:1-2, "I exhort therefore, first of all, that petitions, prayers, intercessions, and givings of thanks, be made for all men: for kings and all who are in high places; that we may lead a tranquil and quiet life in all godliness and reverence." It is biblical to pray for our leaders, including President Trump.
However, it is important to note that the request does not mention the name of Jesus Christ. It is only through Jesus that we have access to God, as it is written in John 14:6, "Jesus said to him, 'I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father, except through me.'" Therefore, we pray to God the Father in the name of Jesus Christ.
Let us pray together:
Heavenly Father, we come before You in the name of Jesus Christ, lifting up President Trump to You. We ask that You grant him wisdom that comes from above, as Your Word says in James 1:5, "But if any of you lacks wisdom, let him ask of the giving God, who gives to all liberally and without reproach; and it will be given to him." Guide him to make decisions that are just and righteous, that he may serve Your purposes and lead the nation according to Your will.
We pray that President Trump would seek Your face and Your will, and that he would be surrounded by godly counsel. We ask that You turn his heart, as You do the rivers of water, toward things that please You (Proverbs 21:1).
We also pray for the nation, that we may live tranquil and quiet lives in all godliness and reverence. We ask that Your hand of blessing and protection be upon the United States, and that we may be a beacon of righteousness and justice in the world.
In all these things, we ask that Your will be done, and that You be glorified.
In Jesus' name, we pray. Amen.
May we all be encouraged to pray continually for our leaders and our nation, trusting that God hears our prayers and is sovereign over all things and remember to always pray in Jesus name.
