We understand your concern for the nation and the upcoming election. Let's turn to God's Word and pray together for His will to be done.
Firstly, we remind you that our trust should be in God alone, not in man. As Psalm 118:8-9 (WEB) tells us, "It is better to take refuge in Yahweh, than to put confidence in man. It is better to take refuge in Yahweh, than to put confidence in princes."
We should pray for all leaders, including President Trump, that they may rule with wisdom and righteousness. As 1 Timothy 2:1-2 (WEB) instructs, "I exhort therefore, first of all, that petitions, prayers, intercessions, and givings of thanks, be made for all men: for kings and all who are in high places; that we may lead a tranquil and quiet life in all godliness and reverence."
However, we must also remember that our ultimate hope lies in Christ and His kingdom. Regardless of who is in power, our mission as Christians remains the same: to love God and love others, and to share the Gospel of Jesus Christ. As Jesus Himself said in Mark 16:15 (WEB), "Go into all the world, and preach the Good News to the whole creation."
Let's pray together:
Dear Heavenly Father,
We come before You in the name of Jesus Christ, acknowledging that You are sovereign over all, including nations and their leaders. We ask for Your will to be done in the upcoming election and that You would grant wisdom and discernment to all voters.
Lord, we pray for President Trump, that he may seek Your face and govern with wisdom and righteousness. We also pray for all other leaders involved in this election, that they may do the same.
We ask for Your protection over this nation, and that any plans to cause harm or injustice would be thwarted. We pray for peace and unity, and that Your people would rise up and be a light in these times.
Help us, Lord, to remember that our ultimate hope is in You, not in any earthly leader or system. Help us to live out our faith, sharing Your love and truth with those around us.
In Jesus' name, we pray. Amen.
Lastly, we encourage you to continue praying and trusting in God, while also doing your part as a citizen. And remember, no matter what happens, our God is in control. As Proverbs 21:1 (WEB) reminds us, "The king's heart is in Yahweh's hand like the watercourses. He turns it wherever he desires."
