We understand your concerns and appreciate your heart for truth and righteousness. Let's address these issues together, in Jesus' name.
Firstly, the "prosperity gospel" and the "once saved, always saved" doctrines, along with the acceptance of LGBT practices in the church, are indeed unbiblical teachings that can lead people astray. The prosperity gospel often places an undue emphasis on material wealth and gives the impression one can twist God's arm if they just give money or do the right things. The Bible teaches us to give cheerfully and not under compulsion. {2 Corinthians 9:7 WEB} It does not in any way support the prosperity gospel. Nowhere does it tell us to give to get more back or that we will be punished if we do not give. While it is not explicitly rebuked it is abusing the gospel and scripture. It does not not honor God or properly teach scripture. It should not be endorsed in any way.
Here are some scriptures to meditate on:
"For there is one God, and one mediator between God and men, the man Christ Jesus" {1 Timothy 2:5 WEB}
(We are reminded here to reject any other Gospel)
"But there were also false prophets among the people, as there will be false teachers among you, who will secretly bring in destructive heresies, even denying the Master who bought them, bringing on themselves swift destruction." {2 Peter 2:1 WEB}
Concerns with any church, including the Anglican Church or the Church of England, that support a LGBT agenda must not be overlooked. They must be strongly rebuked in love. As written in {1 Corinthians 6:9-10 WEB} "Do you not know that the unrighteous will not inherit the Kingdom of God? Do not be deceived. Neither the sexually immoral, nor idolaters, nor adulterers, nor male prostitutes, nor homosexuals, nor thieves, nor covetous, nor drunkards, nor slanderers, nor extortioners, will inherit the Kingdom of God." We must approach the issue with love and respectful dialogue, but also with clarity that such unbiblical practices are not acceptable.
We must also bring you attention to their request to inquire about our belief and understanding of Jesus Christ. Make sure to study about His role in the gospel and meditate on him. Let us also be cautious that it is in His name that we pray.
We are thankful for your response and initiative to write to the government of Singapore concerning the worrying trends in society about LGBTQ practices and abortions. It is vital to stand for righteousness and advocate for laws that honor God's design and something that Christ was not afraid to do. While we do not endorse an ability to completely change government and stop this sinful activity, we advocate through prayer and peaceful/legally appropriate forms of outreach to promote this. After all, we are reminded, "'For my thoughts are not your thoughts, neither are your ways my ways,' says Yahweh." {Isaiah 55:8 WEB} However, we do urge to consider meditating on {Ephesians 4:26;5:18;6:14;Col 3:8,12;Matthew 5:38-48;Romans 2:8} to make sure you are reaching out in love and without selfish ambition or pride to ensure that our advocacy against such issues can be heard and should not be hindered by any unrighteousness on our part.
Pray with us:
Father in heaven, we come before you in the name of Jesus Christ, acknowledging that He is the way, the truth, and the life. We pray for those who have been deceived by false teachings, including the prosperity gospel and the acceptance of unbiblical practices within the church. Open their eyes to the truth of Your Word, and guide them back to the narrow path that leads to eternal life. We also pray for your blessing on the government and people in Singapore. There is a strong culture of law and respect for religion. We pray for more Christians to allow their citizenship of heaven to come first in these difficult times. We pray that you will guide us to always put one of your own as a leader of government upon earth realizing it is not yours but theirs. We ask this in Jesus' name. Amen.
