Heavenly Father, we come before You with heavy hearts, lifting up the Westside of Chicago in prayer. Lord, we grieve the loss of a man who was tragically killed in a drive-by shooting. We ask for Your divine protection over this community, that You would shield them from violence and harm.
Father, we pray for peace to reign in the hearts of the residents, and for Your love to be a light in the midst of darkness. We ask that You comfort the family and friends of the victim, and bring healing to their broken hearts.
Lord, we declare Your promises over this community, that no weapon formed against them shall prosper . We pray for an outpouring of Your grace and mercy, and that You would raise up peacemakers and leaders who will work towards unity and safety.
In the mighty name of Jesus, we pray. Amen.
