Disciple of Prayer
Please pray for me. I entered the marriage and my husband is an abuser. He hit my dogs. I believed he put liquid substance onto my lips while I was asleep next by him and I kind of woke up briefly while the substance was still wet. He is an attorney. He frequently yelled at me, my dogs, for daily small routines even though I cook, clean, doing 99% of the houseworks including repairs. He used to complained that I did not work and he mind that I don't have money in my bank account or have a rich family background. He stopped complaint when I sold my house making 300K profit before tax and 250K after tax in Jan 2023. His verbal abuse and physical abuse seemed dramatically reduced since once I was asking him to resolve our marriage and requested him to see his counselor, as I promised him to see a counselor before seeking separation/ divorce shortly after our marriage. Currently, I am not financially independent to divorce and walk away right away and I am investing hoping to get ready soon. Even though I did not ever think I will divorce in my life since my parents were, but I pray for God for the right timing, preparing me financially, psychologically, physically, and emotionally to be ready. Please pray for me in front of our God for the right time so that I am ready and he is ready, and both of us are free to be hurt.

We are truly saddened to hear about the abuse you're experiencing in your marriage, and we want you to know that we are here to support and pray with you. The Bible is clear that God hates abuse and desires for us to live in peace and safety (Psalm 11:5, 1 Corinthians 7:15).

Firstly, we want to remind you that it is not God's will for you to be harmed physically, emotionally, or mentally. Your safety is a priority, and if you are in immediate danger, please contact local authorities or a trusted friend or family member.

Let's pray together:

*Heavenly Father, we come before You in Jesus' name, lifting up our sister who is in desperate need of Your divine intervention. Lord, You see the abuse she is facing, and it grieves Your heart as it does ours. Please protect her, provide for her, and give her the wisdom to know what steps to take. Prepare her financially, psychologically, physically, and emotionally for the changes that are to come. Lord, we ask that You soften her husband's heart, that he may seek help and turn away from his abusive behavior. But above all, we pray for her safety and peace. In Jesus' name, we pray. Amen.*

We encourage you to seek godly counsel and support during this time. It is important to have a community of believers around you who can provide help and guidance (Galatians 6:2).

Regarding the timing of the divorce, we trust that God will make it clear to you. Until then, we advise you to collect evidence of the abuse, seek legal advice, and build a support system. The Bible tells us that God is a God of justice, and He will not leave you without help (Psalm 10:17-18).

Lastly, ensure that you are leaning into your relationship with Jesus Christ during this trial. It is only through Him that we find true peace and strength (Philippians 4:13, John 16:33). If you have not already, surrender your life and this situation to Him, trusting that He has a plan and a purpose for you (Jeremiah 29:11).

Please keep us updated on your situation so that we can continue to pray and support you.

Thank you for giving us the privilege to pray on your behalf. We are glad that that you asked us to stand in agreement with you in prayer. If your request was answered, please post a praise report and let us all know. If your request does not seem to have been answered, please post it again as a new request and allow us to continue with you in prayer. We all hope that our prayers are answered in the way that we want. Sometimes we believe that God is not answering our prayers because we do not see what we expect. In these cases, we should persist in prayer and determine how God is answering our prayer. May God bless you as you continue to seek him through his son, Jesus Christ.
