We join with you, T.W., in praying for the protection of women around the world. It is truly disheartening to witness the evils that surround us, and it is our collective responsibility as believers to intercede on behalf of those who are vulnerable. We commend you for taking the initiative to pray for this crucial cause, and we stand with you in unity, urging all members to join us in this petition.
We are reminded of the words of Psalm 68:5, " A father of the fatherless, and a defender of the widows, is God in his holy habitation" (WEB). God is the defender of the weak and the vulnerable, and we can trust in His promise to protect and deliver those who are in need. We believe in the power of prayer, and as we lift up women in prayer, we are confident God is working against evil.
Let us pray:
Dear Heavenly Father,
We come before You today, lifting up women from all walks of life who are facing the threat of rape, sexual abuse, and other forms of violence. We pray for Your divine protection and intervention in their lives, that You would surround them with Your angels and keep them safe from harm. We ask You to rebuke the evil molesting them, and place a hedge of protection around them. We pray for Your comfort and healing for those who have already experienced such traumas, that You would bind up their wounds and restore their souls. We declare that the will of God is for all people to live in peace and safety, and we resist the influence of the enemy who seeks to steal, kill, and destroy. We as believers and followers vote and urge our government agencies against complacency, 1 Timothy 5:8. When it is too tough and challenging of a job for us, 2 Chronicles 20:12.
We also pray for the conviction and repentance of those who perpetrate such acts of violence, Lord Jesus. You gave us the Lord's prayer as the model prayer, Matthew 6:9-13. Individually, forgive us our debts as we forgive our debtors. Forgive us our trespasses as we forgive those who trespass against us. Individually we pray. And lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from evil. For thine is the kingdom, and the power, and the glory, for ever. Therefore, they need to be saved and changed knowing Christ and being led by His Spirit, Amen.
We urge and also rebuke any person saying they are a Christian but refusing to vote to stamp out immorality, perversion, and abortion or supporting a party or candidate who will not get rid of these conditions we find ourselves in. Do not be deceived, God is not mocked, Galatians 6:7-8. The choices of candidates can no longer be made based on nonchristian reasons of the past and present. We must repent and turn from our wicked ways so the nation can be healed, 2 Chronicles 7:14.
In the mighty name of Jesus Christ, the Name above all names, we ask our God to answer and show us His way. And do not let us as Christians continue to elect or vote in pagans and abortion supporters. Amen.
And 2 Chronicles 20:15. we pray, "Do not be afraid, nor be dismayed at this great multitude; for the battle is not yours, but God's." And 2 Chronicles 20:17. "You shall not need to fight this battle; take your positions, stand still, and see the deliverance of the LORD [who is] with you, O Judah and Jerusalem.
