Disciple of Prayer
“The price good men pay for indifference to public affairs is to be ruled by evil men.” ― Plato.
"When we do nothing about something, we have consented to that something." ---Lightfoot.
Dr. Lightfoot: Plato’s quote highlights the consequences of apathy toward public affairs. Lightfoot's addition drives the point home—our inaction equates to silent approval. Therefore, I agree with Elder Sharon Lakey: I urge every believer in Christ Jesus who values the strength of prayer and unity to unite with Elder Lakey, all believers, and I, in agreement in prayer for this election. Remember, our collective prayers hold immense power. According to Matthew 18:19-20, if two of you agree on earth touching anything they shall ask, it shall be done for them of my Father which is in heaven. Mark 11:23 (Paraphrase) says if we say to the mountain, "Be moved, believe, and don’t doubt," we can have what we say.
The Power of Agreement: If one can put a thousand to flight and two can put ten thousand, imagine the exponential impact as more join in agreement. Each additional person multiplies the effect tenfold, demonstrating the extraordinary power of unity and collective faith.
Prayer: So Father God, in the name of Jesus, we stand in agreement:
Against wickedness in high places and rulers of darkness,
We pray against unrighteousness, tyranny, deception, and oppression.
We pray that the eyes of voters' understanding be open so they can make the right decision concerning this election.
We pray for Your strength and guidance for our leaders striving to do what’s right.
In Jesus' name, Amen.
Will you encourage others to pray by sharing this post?
Staying engaged and proactive is vital for maintaining a moral and just society.

We understand your concern for the peace and future of America, and we commend your call to unity and agreement in prayer. The Bible teaches us that our collective prayers indeed hold immense power. As it is written in Matthew 18:19-20 (WEB), "Again, assuredly I tell you, that if two of you will agree on earth concerning anything that they will ask, it will be done for them by my Father who is in heaven. For where two or three are gathered together in my name, there I am in the middle of them."

In response to your request, we firstly urge you and all believers to ensure that our prayers are directed to God through the name of Jesus Christ. It is only by His name that we have access to God, and there is no other name by which we can be saved (Acts 4:12).

We stand with you in prayer for the election and the future of America. Let us pray:

"Father God, in the name of Jesus, we come before You as a united body of believers. We stand against wickedness in high places, rulers of darkness, unrighteousness, tyranny, deception, and oppression. We pray that the eyes of the voters' understanding will be open so that they can make right decisions concerning this election (Ephesians 1:18). We pray for Your strength and guidance for our leaders who strive to do what is right (Psalm 32:8). We ask that Your will be done and that Your kingdom come in America, as it is in heaven (Matthew 6:10). We pray all these things in the mighty name of Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior. Amen."

We encourage you to continue to rally other believers to pray and engage in public affairs. As Plato and Lightfoot remind us, inaction leads to silent approval. We must be diligent and proactive, always standing for righteousness and justice. As Proverbs 29:2 (WEB) tells us, "When the righteous thrive, the people rejoice; but when the wicked rule, the people groan."

Lastly, we urge you to remember the words of 1 Timothy 2:1-2 (WEB), "I exhort therefore, first of all, that petitions, prayers, intercessions, and givings of thanks be made for all men: for kings and all who are in high places." Pray for all leaders, regardless of their political affiliation, that they may come to the knowledge of the truth and govern according to God's will.

We're right there with you, standing in unity and agreement for our nation. Let's not forget the power of persistent prayer, as seen in the parable of the persistent widow in Luke 18:1-8. We keep knocking, keep asking, and keep believing. Let's pray:

"Father, in Jesus' name, we intercede for America. We ask for Your mercy and grace to be poured out upon our land. We pray for a spirit of understanding and wisdom to guide our leaders and voters. We ask for Your divine intervention in this election, that Your will may be done. We bind wickedness and oppression, and loose righteousness, justice, and peace. We declare that the eyes of voters' understanding will be opened, and they will make right decisions. We pray for our leaders, that they will strive to do what is right, and we ask for Your strength and guidance to empower them. We thank You for Your unfailing love and faithfulness. In Jesus' name, we pray. Amen."

Lord, we pray for this prayer and family for blessings healing and salvation. Heal and bless. May their lives be a praise and glory unto thee.
Come to the Lord's holy presence. Seek him with all your heart. Cling to his Word and meditate on it moment by moment by positive thoughts and joy in the heart (James 1:2-4), knowing that the Lord is good and to him be all the praise. Seek first God's kingdom and his righteousness (Matthew 6:33). Even though life may feel hard, the Lord's hand will be on you, and he will answer in his time. I am praying for you. Amen.

Thank you for giving us the privilege to pray on your behalf. We are glad that that you asked us to stand in agreement with you in prayer. If your request was answered, please post a praise report and let us all know. If your request does not seem to have been answered, please post it again as a new request and allow us to continue with you in prayer. We all hope that our prayers are answered in the way that we want. Sometimes we believe that God is not answering our prayers because we do not see what we expect. In these cases, we should persist in prayer and determine how God is answering our prayer. May God bless you as you continue to seek him through his son, Jesus Christ.
