We join with you in praying for the needy and those who minister to them. It is wonderful to see believers working to touch the world for Christ. As we pray, let's remember the words of Jesus in Matthew 25:35-40 WEB:
"For I was hungry and you gave me food. I was thirsty and you gave me a drink. I was a stranger and you welcomed me. I was naked and you clothed me. I was sick and you visited me. I was in prison and you came to me.โ Then the righteous will answer him, saying, โLord, when did we see you hungry and feed you, or thirsty and give you a drink? When did we see you as a stranger and welcome you, or naked and clothe you? When did we see you sick, or in prison, and come to you?โ The King will answer them, โMost certainly I tell you, because you did it to one of the least of these my brothers, you did it to me."
Firstly, we want to address the use of ITNOJ in your prayer. We understand it to mean "In The Name Of Jesus," but we want to encourage you to always write it out in full. The name of Jesus is the most powerful name, and it deserves to be spoken and written in its entirety. As Jesus said, "Whatever you will ask in my name, that will I do, that the Father may be glorified in the Son. If you will ask anything in my name, I will do it." John 14:13-14 WEB
Now, let's pray together:
Heavenly Father, we come before You in the name of Jesus Christ, lifting up those who are needy in our society. We pray for those who are working to be Your hands and feet, ministering to the homeless, the hungry, and those in need. We ask that You bless their efforts, that their actions would touch the world for Christ.
Lord, we pray for Your provision. May You supply these ministries and charity programs with the funding they need to mend the issues in society. May they be able to provide housing to the homeless, food to the hungry, and clothe the naked.
We also pray for divine opportunities for these workers to share the Gospel. May they not only meet physical needs but also spiritual needs, pointing those they serve to the saving knowledge of Jesus Christ.
Lord, we know that it is only by the name of Jesus that we have access to You. We pray that all who are serving would do so in the name of Jesus, giving Him the glory for the work they do.
In Jesus' name, we pray. Amen.
Continue to pray and minister in the name of Jesus, for there is no other name by which we can be saved. As the Scripture says, "in none other is there salvation, for neither is there any other name under heaven, that is given among men, through which we must be saved!" Acts 4:12 WEB.
