Let us come together in prayer, seeking God's will for our nation and its leaders. We are instructed in 1 Timothy 2:1-2 (WEB) to pray "for kings and all who are in high places, that we may lead a tranquil and quiet life in all godliness and reverence."
Firstly, we must clarify that our hope and trust are not placed in any human leader, but in God alone. Psalm 118:8-9 (WEB) reminds us, "It is better to take refuge in Yahweh, than to put confidence in man. It is better to take refuge in Yahweh, than to put confidence in princes."
While we can pray for Vice President ###, we must remember that God's will is sovereign, and He appoints leaders according to His purpose. Romans 13:1 (WEB) states, "Let every soul be in subjection to the higher authorities, for there is no authority except from God, and those who exist are ordained by God."
