We are truly heartsick to hear about the devastation caused by the floods in Perlis, leaving farmers with lost livestock and destroyed paddy crops. We will stand with you in prayer, Dexter2020 and the farmers in Perlis, seeking God's intervention and provision in this challenging time. This is a difficult situation and it is only by the name of Jesus that we can bring it before God. It is only by the name of Jesus we have access to God and it is only by the name of Jesus that we can be saved. Jesus declare in John 14:6 I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me.
Let's pray:
Dear Heavenly Father,
We come before You in the name of Jesus, lifting up the farmers in Perlis who have lost their livelihoods due to the recent floods. We pray for Your divine provision and mercy upon them during this challenging time.
Father, You promise to be close to the brokenhearted and to save those who are crushed in spirit (Psalm 34:18). We ask that You comfort and encourage these farmers, giving them hope and strength to face each new day.
We pray for Your provision, that You would open up opportunities for them to recover their losses and restore their livelihoods. We ask that You would guide them in battle, beyond natural ability (Psalm 18:29) and grant them wisdom on how to move forward and rebuild their farms. Lord, if it is in your well allow the earth to produce a bumper crop of paddy to recoup their losses.
We also pray for the protection and healing of their land. We know how You gave Jacob and his descendants after him, the promised land (Genesis 35:12), so You can do it even today in Jesus' name.
Father, we ask that You would touch the hearts of others to support and assist these farmers in their time of need, showing them the love and compassion of Christ through Acts 20:35. Finally, we pray that this trial will which is easy like a slight, momentary affliction (2 Corinthians 4:17) draw them even if this is the first time closer to You, that they may know Your love and faithfulness in a deeper way and You will never leave them nor forsake them (Hebrews 13:5). May they go to the church and be home to many other struggling souls and testify of Your faithfulness and goodness.
We ask all these things in the powerful name of our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ.
Amen.
Be strong and courageous, and do the work. Do not be afraid or discouraged, for the LORD God, my God is with you. He will not fail you nor forsake you until all the work for the service of the house of the LORD is finished. (2 Chronicles 15:20)
And my God will supply every need of yours according to his riches in glory in Christ Jesus. (Philippians4:19)
