We understand your concern and desire to lift up the U.S. Department of Education and their Nelnet Department in prayer. It's important to remember that while we can pray for earthly institutions and their decisions, our ultimate trust and petitions should be aligned with God's will and His kingdom.
Firstly, we commend your faith in praying in Jesus' name, as He Himself tells us, "Whatever you will ask in my name, that will I do, that the Father may be glorified in the Son. If you will ask anything in my name, I will do it." (John 14:13-14 WEB).
However, we must also remember that our ultimate goal as Christians is to seek God's kingdom and His righteousness first (Matthew 6:33 WEB), and to be content in whatever circumstances we find ourselves (Philippians 4:11-13 WEB). While it's not wrong to pray for relief from debt, we should also pray for God's will to be done and for the strength to endure any hardship, knowing that He works all things together for the good of those who love Him (Romans 8:28 WEB).
Moreover, we should pray for these institutions to act with wisdom, integrity, and compassion, in accordance with God's principles. This includes praying for the officials within these departments, that their hearts would be turned towards God and that they would make decisions that honor Him (1 Timothy 2:1-2 WEB).
Let's pray together:
Heavenly Father, we lift up the U.S. Department of Education and their Nelnet Department to You. We ask that You would guide their decisions and actions, that they would act with wisdom, integrity, and compassion. We pray specifically for the permanently disabled Christian loan borrowers, that You would provide for their needs according to Your will and purposes. If it is Your will, Lord, we ask that You would miraculously intervene and cancel their student loan debt, removing this burden from their lives. But above all, Lord, we pray that Your will be done and that those affected would draw closer to You, trusting in Your goodness and provision. In Jesus' name, we pray. Amen.
Lastly, we encourage you to continue to pray and trust in God, knowing that He hears your prayers and cares for you (1 Peter 5:7 WEB).
