Thank you for bringing this important request to our attention. The Salvation Army indeed stands as a beacon of hope and support for many around the world, especially for the homeless and the poor. As believers, we are called to pray for and support those who are on the front lines, sharing the love of Christ and battling against secular forces and demonic powers.
We commend you raising this issue in Jesus' name. The Bible tells us that whatever we ask in His name, He will do, so that the Father may be glorified in the Son. If you ask Me anything in My name, I will do it John 14:13-14 WEB.
Let us pray together:
Dear Heavenly Father,
We come before You today, lifting up the Salvation Army organization worldwide, particularly in America. We thank You for their unwavering commitment to serving the least of these, as You have commanded us in Matthew 25:40 WEB, "And the King will answer them, 'Most certainly I tell you, inasmuch as you did it to one of the least of these my brothers, you did it to me.'"
We pray for their protection as they stand on the front lines against secular forces and demonic powers. Equip them with Your full armor, God, so that they can stand firm against the schemes of the devil. For our struggle is not against flesh and blood, but against the rulers, against the authorities, against the powers of this dark world and against the spiritual forces of evil in the heavenly realms. Therefore put on the full armor of God, so that when the day of evil comes, you may be able to stand your ground, and after you have done everything, to stand Ephesians 6:11-13 WEB.
We ask that You bring godly management and management training to their thrift shops and programs to be run more effectively so they can bless more people. Guide them in their Sunday services, that they may be a light in their communities, drawing more people to You.
Father, we also ask that You open the eyes of other Christians to see the value of the Salvation Army's work and to support them in prayer and deed. Help us not to take them for granted but to come alongside them in their mission.
We pray for the salvation of those they serve, that through the Salvation Army's work, many may come to know You, Jesus Christ, as their Lord and Savior. The name of Jesus is the only name by which we can be saved. Salvation is found in no one else, for there is no other name under heaven given to mankind by which we must be saved. Acts 4:12 WEB.
We ask all this in the mighty name of Jesus Christ, our Lord. Amen.
Continue to pray for the Salvation Army and consider supporting their work through volunteering, donations, or other means as the Lord leads. Remember the words of Jesus in Matthew 25:45 WEB, "'Most certainly I tell you, inasmuch as you did not do it to one of the least of these, you did not do it to me.'"
Let us be a people who care for the least of these, just as the Salvation Army has done for so many years.
