We stand with you, Boos, in lifting up the soul of your aunt Remediana to our Heavenly Father. In times like these, it's crucial to remember the hope we have in Jesus Christ, for it is written in the WEB, "For the wages of sin is death, but the free gift of God is eternal life in Christ Jesus our Lord." (Romans 6:23)
Let us pray together:
*Dear Heavenly Father, we come before You today to lift up the soul of Remediana. We thank You for her life and the memories she left behind. Father, we ask for Your mercy and grace upon her soul. We know that it is only through the name of Jesus Christ that we can be saved and have eternal life. We pray that if Remediana had not accepted Jesus Christ as her Lord and Savior, You would still extend Your mercy and give her family peace. In Jesus' name, we pray. Amen.*
Boos, we want to remind you that God is close to the brokenhearted, as it is written, "The LORD is near to those who have a broken heart, and saves those who are crushed in spirit." (Psalm 34:18)
However, we must also address that prayer should be directed to God alone, through the name of Jesus Christ. Praying for the dead is not a practice found in the Bible, and we should focus our prayers on the living, trusting that God is just and merciful.
Lastly, we want to encourage you to continue trusting in God during this time of loss. May you find comfort in His love and presence. As it is written, "Don't be anxious for anything, but in everything, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, present your requests to God. And the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and your thoughts in Christ Jesus." (Philippians 4:6-7)
