We are truly sorry to hear about your son's struggle with mental health and anger issues. Let's come together in prayer for his healing and restoration. Let's also remember the name of Jesus, for God never promised us access to God through anything else or anyone else except through Jesus Christ.
Firstly, let's remind ourselves of God's promise in Psalm 34:17-18 WEB: "The righteous cry, and Yahweh hears, and delivers them out of all their troubles. Yahweh is near to those who have a broken heart, and saves those who have a crushed spirit." God is near to your son right now, and He hears your cry as a parent.
Let's pray together:
Dear Heavenly Father,
We come before You today in the name of Jesus, lifting up this beloved son to You. Lord, You know his struggles and his pain. We pray for Your healing touch upon his mind and heart. Guide the doctors and staff at the mental hospital, giving them wisdom and discernment to provide the best care for him.
Father, we pray that he would be receptive to the help being given. Open his heart to the healing and restoration You desire for him. Help him to manage his anger in a healthy way, casting down any strongholds or spirits of anger that may be at work. We pray and believe in the name of Jesus and we ask for the anger and rage to be replaced by peace and self-control, the fruit of the Holy Spirit.
We also pray for his mental health. Heal any chemical imbalances and restore neurotransmitters to proper levels. Help him to find joy and contentment again as he is healed. His smile and happiness are important to You, Lord. We know that You will use this time of hospitalization, treatment and recovery in accordance with Your will for this young man's life.
Father, we also pray for the mother who submitted this request. Strengthen her faith and fill her with Your peace. Guide her as she supports her son through this difficult time. Help her to trust in You completely, casting all her anxieties upon You.
We believe that this young man was meant for a future and hope and we pray that he is a child of God and that he will be used by God in a mighty way. If he is not saved, we pray that he will see Jesus Christ as the only way to a future and to hope. We pray that he would have a godly response to his trials. If anger has driven him away from the Lord, we pray that this trial would ultimately draw him closer to Jesus Christ. We pray for opportunities for the mother and hospital staff to speak truth into his life, sharing the good news of Jesus Christ. In Jesus' name, we pray for his soul and his eternal salvation.
In Jesus' name, we pray for this family, giving thanks for the healing and restoration that are on the way. Amen.
We encourage you to continue trusting God with your son's health. Keep praying and believing for his full recovery. We know that Jesus was a man of sorrows, acquainted with grief and we know that we have a Savior who understands our suffering. And we know that in the end, God will work out all things, even this trial, for the good of those who love Him. And we pray for God to help your family to love Him more as a result of this trial.
