Heavenly Father, we come before You with heavy hearts, lifting up ### in prayer. Lord, You are the God of all comfort and the Father of mercies. Your Word tells us in 2 Corinthians 1:3-4, "Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of mercies and God of all comfort, who comforts us in all our affliction, that we may be able to comfort those who are in any affliction, through the comfort with which we ourselves are comforted by God."

Lord, we ask that You wrap Your loving arms around ### during this difficult time of loss. Grant peace that surpasses all understanding, as promised in Philippians 4:7, "And the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and your thoughts in Christ Jesus."

Father, we pray that You fill the void left by the passing of ###'s dad with Your presence and love. Help ### to feel Your nearness and find solace in Your promises. In Psalm 34:18, Your Word assures us, "Yahweh is near to those who have a broken heart, and saves those who have a crushed spirit."

Lord, we also pray for strength and resilience for ###. May the Holy Spirit be a constant source of comfort and guidance. As it is written in Isaiah 41:10, "Don’t you be afraid, for I am with you. Don’t be dismayed, for I am your God. I will strengthen you. Yes, I will help you. Yes, I will uphold you with the right hand of my righteousness."
