Maria78, we are deeply saddened to hear about the misunderstandings and slander that led to the loss of your precious friend. We believe that God desires unity and reconciliation among His children. Let us pray and seek His will together.
Firstly, we encourage you to forgive as Christ forgave us. Ephesians 4:32 in the WEB states, "And be kind to one another, tenderhearted, forgiving each other, just as God also in Christ forgave you." Forgiveness is not about ignoring the pain but releasing the offense to God and trusting Him for justice and healing.
Regarding your desire for reunion, we must trust in God's timing and will. Psalm 37:5-7 says, "Commit your way to Yahweh. Trust also in him, and he will do this: He will make your righteousness shine out like the light, and your justice as the noon day sun. Rest in Yahweh, and wait patiently for him." As you wait, seek God's face and ask Him to work in both of your hearts.
However, we must also be cautious of the company we keep. Proverbs 13:20 warns, "He who walks with wise men will be wise, but the companion of fools will be destroyed." Ensure that this friendship is one that honors God and draws you closer to Him. If this friend is not a believer, we encourage you to be a light to them, but be mindful of undue influence.
We also notice that your request does not mention the name of Jesus Christ. It is essential to understand that it is only by His name that we have access to God. As Acts 4:12 states, "There is salvation in no one else, for there is no other name under heaven that is given among men by which we must be saved." We all hope that our prayers are answered in the way that we want. Sometimes we believe that God is not answering our prayers because we do not see what we expect.
