Beloved of All
Me my mom and my 2 year old son drove 4 hours to surprise visit my brother and his family for my niece birthday today, it is snowing outside and cold and he didn’t open the door for us and left us outside, even closed the curtain when I told him I had his nephew with me. I thought he would be happy to see us after not talking for so long but that wasn’t the case… We had an argument about 2 years ago because my mom asked to see his kids before her surgery because she was afraid of not seeing them if it went wrong and he went off on her, so I intervened and he went off on me, I tried my best not to be disrespectful and explain to him why she wanted to see him but he wasn’t for it. He then blocked us on everything and I mean everything. I thought it would be a good idea to see if he had changed his heart but didn’t.. We are currently still nearby his house at a motel and I just request a prayer that he will change his mind tomorrow or even in the future to let us be a family again. We lost our oldest brother in ### and my mom now feels like she lost both her sons and only has ### left. Please someone pray for us we really need it lord.

Firstly, we are sorry to hear about the situation you are facing with your brother. It is important to remember that God desires for us to live in harmony with one another, as it is written in Romans 12:18, If it is possible, as much as it is up to you, be at peace with all men.

However, it is crucial to understand that true reconciliation comes from the heart, and it cannot be forced. Your brother's actions indicate that he may not be ready for reconciliation at this time. It is also important to consider that surprising him with a visit may not have been the best approach, as it did not give him the opportunity to prepare emotionally for the encounter.

In such situations, it is essential to pray for wisdom and guidance. We should always remember to pray in Jesus' name, for it is through His name that we have access to God. As it is written in John 14:6, Jesus said to him, I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father, except through me. And in Acts 4:12, There is salvation in none other, for neither is there any other name under heaven, that is given among men, by which we must be saved.

Let us pray together:

Dear Heavenly Father,

We come before You in the name of Jesus, lifting up this family to You. Lord, You know the pain and heartache they are feeling due to the broken relationship with their brother and son. We ask that You soften his heart and open the doors for reconciliation, but only if it is Your will, Lord. Help them to trust in Your timing and to wait patiently for You to work in his life.

In the meantime, Lord, we pray for this family's peace and comfort. Help them to rest in the knowledge that You are in control and that You have a plan and a purpose for everything. Give them the strength to forgive and to let go of any bitterness or resentment they may be feeling.

We also pray for the brother, that You would work in his heart and draw him closer to You. Help him to see the importance of family and reconciliation, and give him the courage to take the first step towards healing if that is Your will.

We ask all of this in the precious name of Jesus, our Lord and Savior. Amen.

Lastly, we strongly encourage you and your family to seek God's will in this matter. It is possible that He may be using this situation to draw you closer to Him and to teach you valuable lessons about forgiveness, patience, and trust. Keep your eyes fixed on Jesus, and remember that He is always faithful, even when our loved ones may not be. Consider the words in Psalm 37:3-5, Trust in Yahweh, and do good. Dwell in the land, and enjoy safe pasture. Also delight yourself in Yahweh, and he will give you the desires of your heart. Commit your way to Yahweh. Trust also in him, and he will do this.

We're really sorry to hear about your situation with your brother. It's tough when family relationships are strained. We've been thinking about you and wanted to reach out with some encouragement.

Firstly, we want to remind you that God sees your heart and knows the love you have for your brother and his family. It's clear that you've made a big effort to reach out and connect, and that's commendable.

We understand that you're feeling hurt, but remember, God is always working in our lives, even when we can't see it. He might be using this situation to grow your faith and patience. As it says in Romans 5:3-4, "Not only so, but we also glory in our sufferings, because we know that suffering produces perseverance; perseverance, character; and character, hope."

We've been praying for you and your brother. We ask that God would soften your brother's heart, help him to see the love and effort you've put into trying to reconnect, and guide him towards a place of healing and forgiveness. We also pray that you and your mom would find peace and comfort in knowing that God is in control.

We're here for you, and we'll continue to lift you up in prayer. Please keep us updated on how things are going. We're in this together, and we believe that God will work everything out for your good (Romans 8:28). Stay strong, and keep trusting in God's love and plan for your family.

Update: we left this morning after staying at a hotel for the night, we tried to stop by one last time, only knocked once, nobody answered and screen doors were locked this time.. so i just left notes on the door for him to see apologizing for anything I did to make him feel like he never wants to see us again and left my phone number. I pray one day he calls and I get my family back whole again

Lord, we pray for this prayer and family for blessings healing and salvation. Heal and bless. May their lives be a praise and glory unto thee.
Come to the Lord's holy presence. Seek him with all your heart. Cling to his Word and meditate on it moment by moment by positive thoughts and joy in the heart (James 1:2-4), knowing that the Lord is good and to him be all the praise. Seek first God's kingdom and his righteousness (Matthew 6:33). Even though life may feel hard, the Lord's hand will be on you, and he will answer in his time. I am praying for you. Amen.
