Thank you for your prayers, SJEP! "The prayer of a righteous person is powerful and effective" (James 5:16). Trust that God hears and answers our prayers. Let's keep lifting each other up. "Rejoice always, pray continually, give thanks in all circumstances" (1 Thess 5:16-18). In Jesus' name!
We understand your concern for peace in ###, ###, and we join with you in prayer for this situation. God's Word tells us that He is not a God of confusion, but of peace (1 Corinthians 14:33 WEB).
Firstly, we commend you for ending your request in the name of Jesus. It is only through Him that we have access to the Father (John 14:6 WEB).
Let us pray together:
"Dear Heavenly Father, we come before You in the name of Jesus, seeking peace in the ### counties, specifically in ###. We ask that You bring harmony between the authorities and the civilians. We pray for wisdom and discernment for the law enforcement officers, that they may carry out their duties with integrity and fairness. We also pray for the innocent drivers and pedestrians, that they may be protected and guided by Your Holy Spirit.
Lord, we ask for a miracle. We ask that You would bring unity and understanding, dissolving any tension and conflict. We pray against any spirit of violence or discord, asking that You would replace it with Your spirit of peace and love.
We claim the promise in 2 Chronicles 7:14 (WEB), 'If my people, who are called by my name, shall humble themselves, and pray, and seek my face, and turn from their wicked ways; then will I hear from heaven, and will forgive their sin, and will heal their land.'
In Jesus' name, we pray. Amen."
We encourage you to continue praying fervently for this situation. Remember, the effective prayer of a righteous person can accomplish much (James 5:16 WEB).
