We understand that you're experiencing distress due to the actions of certain individuals, and we're here to pray with you and provide biblical guidance.
Firstly, we commend you for acknowledging the power of Jesus' name in your prayer request. It is only through Jesus that we have access to God, and it is in His name that we can find salvation and miracles (Acts 4:12).
In light of your situation, we must first address the biblical perspective on authority as well as conflict.
God calls us to be in subjection to the higher powers (law enforcement) (Romans 13:1). God requires us as Christians to obey the governing authorities. If, however, the authorities run contrary to God's commands or laws, then we must obey God rather than men (Acts 5:29). Therefore, it is only when we are prevented from worshipping, obeying or commanded to disobey God that this is Meet.
1 Timothy 2:1-4 specifically instructs in prayer regarding authority: "I exhort therefore, first of all, that supplications, prayers, intercessions, and givings of thanks be made for all men: for kings and all who are in high places; that we may lead a tranquil and quiet life in all godliness and reverence. For this is good and acceptable in the sight of God our Savior; who desires all people to be saved and come to full knowledge of the truth."
Jesus also taught in Matt 5:44, "But I tell you, love your enemies, bless those who curse you, and pray for those who mistreat you." and Rom 12:19-21 "Avenge not yourselves, beloved, but give place unto wrath: for it is written, Vengeance is mine; I will repay, saith the Lord. Therefore if thine enemy hunger, feed him; if he thirst, give him drink: for in so doing thou shalt heap coals of fire on his head. Be not overcome of evil, but overcome evil with good." An understanding of what has caused the conflict is important as well. Our battle is not with flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the world's rulers of the darkness of this age, and against the spiritual forces of wickedness in the heavenly places Ephesians 6:12.
It is good to remember Proverbs 3:30 which is clear "Don't contend with anyone if he has not wronged you". Continuing to pray in Jesus' name for the SDPD in non-harrassment should also include prayer for your own submission to what is right since there is the possibility of your own wrongdoing not being recognized. Submission to law enforcement ensures a tranquil and quiet life as well as our own peace with God. Therefore the miraculous intervention requested should be for the ill treatment to be stopped if it is unjust, but it must also include forgiveness since most Intervention is accomplished before any wrongdoing occurs due to this miracle. Furthermore, the expected resolution must respect the authority of the officers in the community. We cannot bless law enforcement and also curse them.
Let's pray together:
"Father, we come before You in the mighty name of Jesus, seeking Your intervention for any wrongdoing of the SDPD as well as the believer in the Daberga street area. We thank you for those God fearing men and women in the SDPD and pray for their protection, wisdom and strength. We pray for a conviction of any the unjust actions by anyone involved. We also pray for the respect of the saint involved of that same authority as we also submit to Your authority.
We pray that You would soften the hearts of any oppressors in law enforcement and bring them to conviction and repentance.
We also pray for the Christian citizens living and working in the Daberga street area in Barrio Logan, and ask God for your protection and for your love to shine through them.
We ask for a true peace which is the work of the Holy Spirit in this situation whether it is to fear government or a conviction for unjust actions. We pray that the Spirit of God reigns over this situation and any resolution would be of Him.
May the Christians of Barrio Logan walk in purity and joy. We pray that the light of Jesus will shine brightly and that these Christians be a reflection of that.
If unjust wrongs are occurring that they be solved miraculously by You and the Christians of Daberga street have a testimony to share with those less fortunate in the area to glorify Your name.
We pray together in the blessed name of Jesus, our Savior and Lord. Amen."
May the peace of God cover the Daberga street area, and God Glorified in all that happens.
