Thank you, Richard K, for reaching out with your prayer request. We are here to stand with you in prayer and to offer guidance based on God's Word.
Firstly, we notice that while you addressed your prayer to "Dear Lord God," you did not specifically mention the name of Jesus Christ. We want to remind you of the importance of praying in Jesus' name, as He Himself instructed: "Whatever you will ask in my name, that will I do, that the Father may be glorified in the Son. If you will ask anything in my name, I will do it." (John 14:13-14 WEB) It is through Jesus that we have access to God, and there is power in His name.
Now, let's address your request for peace, provision, and favor. We can find comfort in the words of Philippians 4:6-7 (WEB): "In nothing be anxious, but in everything, by prayer and petition with thanksgiving, let your requests be made known to God. And the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and your thoughts in Christ Jesus." Instead of being anxious, we should bring our concerns to God with thanksgiving, trusting that He will grant us His peace.
Regarding provision, Jesus teaches us in Matthew 6:25-34 (WEB) not to worry about what we will eat, drink, or wear. He assures us that our heavenly Father knows our needs and will provide for us as we seek first His Kingdom and His righteousness.
For favor, we can look to Psalm 5:12 (WEB): "For you, Yahweh, will bless the righteous. You will surround him with favor as with a shield." As we walk in righteousness and obedience to God, we can trust that He will surround us with His favor.
Let us pray for you, Richard:
"Dear Heavenly Father, we come before You in the name of Jesus Christ to lift up Richard K. We ask for Your peace to fill his heart and mind, casting out all anxiety. We pray for Your provision in his life, trusting that You know his needs and will supply them according to Your riches in glory. We also ask for Your favor to surround Richard, as he seeks to live righteously before You. Help him to fix his eyes on You and to trust in Your goodness. In Jesus' precious name, we pray. Amen."
Continue to put your trust in the Lord, Richard, and remember to approach God through Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior. Be encouraged by the words of Romans 8:28 (WEB): "We know that all things work together for good for those who love God, to those who are called according to his purpose."
